It appears we now need to make some guidelines for this forum. I'm sorry to have to do this because, frankly, we've never had a problem in earlier years with artwork on Look Again.
Those guideline will be coming soon. But in the meantime, I'd like to hear some feedback from posters here in this forum as to what you'd like.
for example: I think maybe posters should post their artwork in their own threads to keep their work altogether. Each poster could have maybe a thread for signatures and avatars and another thread for wallpapers. Episode screen caps would stay the same. Everyone can contribute to each episode thread.

I think it's a good idea if we did have our own threads, but it could have everything; but have guildlines for size requirements ( Wallpapers and Signatures) so we wouldn't have six million threads for one user that would be too much.

What are the current standard sizes for avatars and signatures?
Also I need instructions to post the format of a wallpaper and what size the actual wallpaper is when you click on it. Or is that how one saves the original wallpaper when they upload it to their web host? I'm not sure I'm explaining this right. When I look at one of ruda's wallpapers on a thread it is small and has to be clicked on. I need instructions for how to tell others to post their wallpaper on the forum.

Avatars are 100X100 Signatures should be 500X100 so it doesn't take long to load for people who are on dial up or have slow connection
Wallpapers- Should either have a preview or a web address , not posting it directly into the thread

Okay. Could you provide instructions as to what a "preview" is? I guess that's the term I was trying to describe. Avatars are 100X100 Signatures should be 500X100 so it doesn't take long to load for people who are on dial up or have slow connection Wallpapers- Should either have a preview or a web address , not posting it directly into the thread

We can allow for a size that doesn't extend the normal width of the thread. Whatever that width is..... Sometimes I use 640X480 but i can reduce it to 320X240

When I post I try not to make it too big, it takes too long to load if the file size is giagantic.
The rule about the width should also apply to Signatures as well, but also how many images one can in one post. Need a limit so things don't get clogged up, some signatures can take forever to load if the pixel size it too big.

What's an ideal width, ruda? Also I need to know how you post a "preview" of your wallpaper. Can you whip up some instructions for me to put in the Rules thread? it's a GOOD idea

I think for preview you can use thumbnail. Image hosting sites normally create this automagically for you when you upload an image. The thumbnail is then used as part of the link to the larger version. Of course you could create your own thumbnail if you are hosting on your own site. Just take you existing image and scale it down to a sensible size (eg 160 pixels across) and save it as a different file.
Here are some basic instructions on image hosting using the Imagevenue site. Other sites like Imageshack use much the same procedure. Go here www.imagevenue.com/Click on the top "Browse..." button of the 5. Find the jpeg file of your image on your hard disk. OK. You will see the path and file name (looking something like "C:\pictures\mypicture.jpg") appear in the box to the left of the "Browse..." button. Choose "safe for work" from the "Select image content" drop list. Then click the "Send file(s)" button. Wait a little while. The page will change to a thumbnail of your image and a series of different boxes with variants of links to the image. For this forum you want the 2nd option that has the text starting "Hotlink a clickable thumbnail on..." above it. Copy the contents of the box, it starts "[URL" and paste it into a post here. You may want to temporarily copy the contents to another text file. That then gives you something like this: Which people can click on to look at in full. That's a simple wallpaper I put together by scaling and cropping a larger image.
