I checked the "square-screen" version and you can't see it there--only in the widescreen which went out over HiDef. I think the director just made a mistake and didn't remember to keep the sides of the picture clean of obstructions. It was also the 2nd episode so maybe they hadn't yet made the decision to broadcast in the widescreen format yet.

This is what I was thinking too, irishkale. Even though it was only just over two years ago, I bet not many people had HD viewing capabilities in their homes, so it wasn't seen as a huge deal. It's funny to go back and look at it now, though!

I was just watching the episode of when that man kills his wife using the laundry detergent. At the end when Lily and Vera go to see him in the restaraunt, they arrive with no drink, but half way through talking to him, Lily takes a sip out of a glass that was not there earlier.

Yeah I guess I never really thought about CC having bloopers, like as in you KNOW the comedies and stuff have them, but I guess it never occured to me that such a serious show would have any, lol
There's a scene in Saving Patrick Bubley, when Lilly is at the Mother's home talking to her with a fresh layer of red lipstick on and when she turns around, BAM! It's totally gone.
Is this a goof? It looks to me like the angle of the hand can't be the girl's hand. But I can't see why they'd leave it in if it was a real goof.
watch for the hand that pulls back her hair when she goes through the door:
It looks like a person's right hand. Which if it was the girl's hand, it would be technically impossible for her to use her right hand to push her hair back coming in from that angle. Weird.

I saw that at the time and thought it looked a little strange but forgot about it.
It could be her left hand reaching around but that would almost certainly require her elbow to move into shot. If she was further away from the wall her arm could move up obscured by her head.
The hand does look more like a right hand, though the thumb is not visible.
I also noticed that during the episode and then forgot about it. My initial impression was that there was a man in the room with her who pulled her hair back. After watching the clip several times (some might see this thread and think we really need to get some lives! ) I think it is her own right hand. I think it's just the camera angle that makes it look odd.

omg, that is so cool, I hadn't noticed it!
something else I noticed: In "Saving Sammy", the family's last name is "Harris", but when Jefferies and Miller are interviewing the 'tagger', they use the last name "Harding", now I figure someone else had caught this, and I am sure it's in the "Ep. 4x5 Saving Sammy" thread, but I figured it belonged in COLD CASE BLOOPERS too!
anyone know if there is a video or something of cold case bloopers? Like actual bloopers? Like from the set while they were shooting or something? How hilarious would that be to watch?
