Christina is Paul's daughter, it's heavily alluded to in the sides. Also, she has a baby. And is involved with a prescription drug scam. And a boyfriend who almost kills her AND Lilly (and steals Lilly's gun). A LOT of the episode is devoted to this storyline. It seems Scotty and Lilly do save Christina (at least physically - she's still a major drug addict and is out of it the whole time), and Lilly either beats the crap out of or kills the abusive boyfriend when he is just about to shoot Scotty (with her gun). Whoa.

The biggest shocker to me is the fact Scotty hasn't been arrested (or from what I've read so far) at the end of the episode for having his mother's rapist killed. I will say.... I know they go outside the box on occasion but I don't like Cold Case becoming a Without a Trace... but that's just me.

If there is a season 8, what happens then?

The sides I read with this info (the Christina storyline - which actually begins the episode prior - and Will's old case involving Doherty's son) were for ep 22 "Shattered." Has it been confirmed that this is, in fact, the season finale? Ninja - the sides I read don't included the closing montage, though. It's still possible Scotty gets arrested, unless you know something I don't (and if you do, please share!) That said, I HIGHLY doubt he'll be arrested for it. Most likely everyone will know and look the other way. Even whatshisface (the detective investigating the rape) is playing the game for Scotty. Had he physically murdered the guy himself, it would probably be a different story - but a jailhouse hit is an easy cover up, and sadly, probably done more often than we care to think about in reality.

I thought Lilly and Christina were half sisters, same mom different dads? It's clear they had the same mom because in the episode, "Mindhunters" I think it was when Lil was at Chris' bar and Lil told her to hold the vodka when she ordered the drink. Christina replied with, "You never were like mom".

There's been no evidence in the show that Christina and Lilly don't share both parents.

How much older than Christina is Lilly? If they're six years apart, then Paul had to have gotten Ellen pregnant a few months prior to leaving his family.
Otherwise I can see how people would believe that Lilly and Christina are only half sisters.

I don't think Scotty will get arrested for the murder either in the finale.... but it's still murder. Yes, the guy is a slimebag rotten rapist who deserves to burn in hell. But to look the other way at his murder is a slippery slope. After all, many of the Cold Case doers thought their victims deserved to die too. If there is a season 8 (keeping the fingers crossed), I don't see how Scotty could still do his job. Plus, even though they don't show it, one has to assume Doherty loses his job or even gets arrested for covering up the fact his son accidently killed a girl (the gun went off when he and his friend were fighting over it in the car)and then hid the body. As much as I hate Doherty, Jefferies, Stillman and the rest will have NO right to condemn him for what he did. Not if they look the other way at the fact Scotty basically had someone murdered in police custody.

Well I just had to come in and look around and spoil myself. Not knowing whether or not there will be life after season seven, I thought why not know the hype talk and potential spoiler information. I couldn't determine the link at TV.com. Is this a "speculation" thread over there or something - I mean I could start something here and say I heard it from a reliable source. Although bringing Christina back for a series finale would be enthralling for the early fans of the series!

I think most people are getting the information from casting sides...although I really hope there is a nice surprise for us that isn't in the sides.

There could be a big surprise... it's not known what happens to Christina at the end... what I do know. Wanda from Jefferies's missing person case is the victim and Doherty's son Matt and his friend are the doers. They had picked Wanda up to give her a ride home, without telling her they were going to make a pitstop to confront a drug dealer. Upon seeing the gun, Wanda panics and leaves to get out of the car while Matt and his friend Ronnie fight over the gun. It goes off while they are fighting and Wanda is hit with a bullet and dies right there in the car. They hide the body because Matt is terrified his father will find out what he did. His father suspects what happened anyway. Matt confesses to the crime and lets them know where they will find the body. I imagine Doherty will also be fired for covering up for his son. As for Christina...I don't know from reading the slides if she passes away... but she gets beaten.. and beaten good.

It's interesting that Lily's father never asked about Christina as though she never existed.
