Hey boys and girls! Hey there! I voted this episode as excellent - missed Jeffries though. But there were several storylines that came back into the forefront on this one that I was wondering about - Scotty's mom, Moe, Vera having problems at work (health anyone?) - all that stuff seems to be coming back into play now. On Lilly with Moe, I think it was surprising that she was so talkative with him - I hope that does not come back to haunt her too. But I'm glad she nailed him on the DUI - don't think Stillman was too happy though. And the whole Vera thing may be coming to a head soon too - that other doctor giving him a clean bill of health and then he starts having trouble with falling asleep at work? I hope he can nail this while he still can. As for the case, it was very good. Harry really turned out to be a good guy in the end that I could take me hat off for - helping Bunny and trying to nail her mom. A true gentleman to Bunny he was, and that deserves two thumbs up - I like the way she hugged him in the flashback too, and the way Harry said "it felt good" to help her out was cool too. I wonder if we may see Bunny's stepmom again - maybe so, maybe not. It was just weird seeing a suspect walk out after dealing with Lilly, and then the wink? What's up with that? Well, as you can tell, this case got my mind working. Again, excellent indeed! And Lilly looked great as always! What a beautiful girl!

I enjoyed this episode as well. That lawyer was a fool... There were two murderers in this episode... and one of them was able to walk out the door while the moron who killed the one person who could have stopped her goes to prison.

Good episode but not as strong as the last 5 (for me). I hated that b*tch... more than Moe or George... Really! Liked the 70's style.

The story started off slow, and I began to wonder where it was going. But when Bunny turned out to be alive, things really started to kick in as all the connections got made. The episode seemed to have a "grittiness" that went well with the story of the fallen-cop-turned-detective story too. It made me think of that other Philly cop show, "Hack". Also, I wonder if the episode's storyline (bad cop gets fired, redeems himself in the end) has some sort of tie-in or is meant to foreshadow the Scotty side story? HMMMmmm.... Anyway, midway I thought I was going to give it a "good"; but in the end, the episode redeemed itself (LOL) and I thought it was excellent.

I liked this episode a lot. It was very character driven rather than plot driven that kept me guessing. The music was top notch as well as the flashback quality. The little detail where Harry makes a joking reference to Caroline about Bunny might end up like Patty Hearst was pretty cool. I think it was around that time when the SLA shootout in LA or the bank robbery in San Francisco Hearst was involved in occured. It was nice to see Richard Moll (Night Court), Matt Willig (GB Packers) and Shawn Weatherly (Baywatch) in this episode.
For the Moe Kitchner thing, I really wish they would end this silly plot already as it's getting stretched out too much as it is.

I voted "excellent" for this episode. I really liked it, and much like the previous poster said, I enjoyed that it was character-driven rather than plot-driven. It gives you an opportunity to really invest something in the actors rather than just in what they're acting out. I too found it a shock when Bunny turned out to be alive, I wasn't expecting that -- good on the writers for throwing that little plot twist in there. Harry Denton's character was one you didn't think you were going to sympathize with or even connect to, but then you do.
The music was fantastic and I was so shocked to hear the James Gang played -- anything with Joe Walsh's hands on it is good by me! Not to mention Forever Young by Bob Dylan during the closing moments....phenomenal.
I didn't know what to expect going into this episode, but when it was over.....I kind of wished it was a two-hour episode.

Anyone else liked the Flashback style? I liked it. I don't know the name but it was cool.

Anyone else liked the Flashback style? I liked it. I don't know the name but it was cool. There arent really official names for it. They typically shoot flashback scenes with filming techniques and using particular film stock of that time to recreate that similar look on tv/films of that period.

One more thing about this episode... if it makes it to trial, doesn't Lily realize all of her actions will jeopardize the case?

In this episode, Lilly behaved a whole lot like The Psycho Ex-Girlfriend! Maybe that's what they really mean by "The Runaway Bunny"?!? ;D

Oh great. Thanks Boxman! Now I'm going to have this outlandish chase scene between Lilly and Moe in my head, while 'Yakity Sax' plays in the foreground.
And Lilly's welding an axe in this imaginary chase scene.

I've just watched the episode. Good one. The fact that Bunny was alive was very interesting. Didn't expect that, but the story with Denton trying to help the girl was moving. I was so furious to see the stepmother walking out, free, whereas she killed her husbands . As for Lilly, I think she's taking the wrong way. This obsession for Moe could be used against her!! I know she's furious and wants to see him in jail, but she must stop going too far because she could do something wrong... And in this case, her career would be in danger... And finally, poor Nick. Sleeping at work. I hope he's okay, but with the medical check up stuff before, I really doubt... I don't want to see Nick being sick, having diabetes or heart disease...

A thought just occured to me.. if the daughter saw her stepmother give her father the poison... couldn't she testify to that in court?

One of this season's best for me! Even though I wasn't surprised by the twists (thought of poison the very moment they show the white flowers, expected Bunny to turn up alive as soon as they talk about a car accident), I found it very entertaining and liked the characters very much. Once again, it seems I am pretty biased with the 70s era... Harry was a very imperfect and likable victim (the best combination IMO). His appearance and behavior reminded a lot of Vera, the ugly ties, the drinking, the naps and the investment in the case (I hope we'll learn more about these unknown files he was perusing). The black widow walking and winking at Lilly and Stillman was refreshing and weirdly satisfying. "It's always the pretty ones you don't see coming" that Harry said to his assistant was a warning... "She was so beautiful" said the poor Winston whose confession I liked too. He gave up so easily because he knows he was manipulated, just like Caroline didn't give in because she was so sure of her, the perfect mix between George Marks and the one who's name we shall not say/Johanna from Blood on the Tracks. A pretty woman who thinks she can get away with what she's doing applies to Lilly too. I truly resent what she's doing to Moe here. The look she had in the close confrontation though the bar was reminiscent of the fierceness she used to have (like in the pilot defying Todd Whitley on the parking lot), except she's now the one harassing and intimidating. While watching, lots of nice movies memories turned up: - Harry looked like the dirty ex-cop partner in LA Confidential - the pool scene had a Big Lebowski feeling (and the disappearing Bunny!) - the night car accident scene with the amateur PI witnessing had a Kiss Kiss Bang Bang vibe - the "Stuck in the middle with you" tune instantly puts me back to the graphic scene in Reservoir Dogs I still miss a lot not seeing the whole cast together. With the abundance of personal storylines this year, why doesn't Jeffries get any? I hope his cold case will be re-opened before the end of the series. Hope too Harry's tragic ending does not foreshadow what will happen to Lilly/Scotty/Vera who all seem to be on a slippery slope ("Got caught up in stuff I shouldn't have been. One thing leads to another and..."). Anyone else liked the Flashback style? I liked it. I don't know the name but it was cool. I don't know the official technical term but some Canon digital cameras have this "Color Accent" feature which give a similar result: one color is accentuated while all the others are desaturated. It's a neat effect! They also used this red accentuation in Spiders , minus the grainy effect.

What was up with the pictures that Nick was looking at? Has it something to do with his drinking? Stillman found that bottle and I thought oh crap Nick is turning into a drunk & what is up with the pictures? He clearly had a hangover at the beginning of the episode.

Zoe, I also enjoyed the fact the victim wasn't perfect, but was still a good person. Cold Case sometimes has a bad habit of making a victim TOO perfect. Showing a victim with flaws isn't a bad thing.

I noticed until yesterday that the woman playing the role of "Bunny" -2010 is Shawn Weatherly: a former Miss Universe
