I'm thinking either something related to diamonds [since ice is slang for them] or hockey/figure skating going down a more literal route.

Hockey case would be good:D In "Stand Up and Holler", Vera bragged about being a "big hockey star" in high school. Hmmmm...

There's another possibility as well. The episode could be centered around a hit; as 'Iced' is a slang for 'killed'.

I wonder if they'll base it on the Ice Man, the mafia hitman/serial killer

The episode could be centered around a hit; as 'Iced' is a slang for 'killed'. thats what i was thinking. LII2 has a point to, it could have something to do with moe, but we dont know if moe will actualy be killed or not, its all just speculation at the minute. im surprised theres no more information about this episode yet.

It looks like something to do with the wolrd of ice hockey and the story is set in 1980! (According to IMDB anyway!)

1980 and ice hockey..the significant event i remember is when the US hockey winter olympic team beat the USSR who were virtually unbeatable as i recall. maybe there is some relevance to this event like "SuperStar" did with billie jean king's match against bobby riggs

Looking foward to this episode. Having seen the "Miracle on Ice" movie and seen specials on it, I'm anxious to see Cold Case's take on it.

Jude Ciccolella (pronounced "Chick-o-lella", btw) tends to play rather shady characters (even if Mike Novick on "24" was much more three-dimensional). That and the fact that coaches on the show tend to depicted as douchebags ("Family", "Stand Up and Holler", "Glory Days"), leads me to suspect this coach will be up to no good.

His wife is the only woman guest staring in this episode... I wonder what her role will be. Judging by CC's attempts to up the ratio of women killers this season, I wonder if she'll be the doer?

All the music in this episode will be by Bob Seger. Great choice!
