Terrible episode. Couldn't get into it at all and the characters seemed so unsympathetic.
Only redeeming quality was the Coldplay track at the end.

This episode was okay.
I thought the dinner--er midnight snack scene was kinda weird and I don't think Celeste would have had dinner ready at that time. And also, technically Lilly DIDN'T spend lots of time with Finn, I feel it was just like 4 minutes. When is spending 4 minutes with someone means you spent lots of time with him? I just thought that could have been better written and maybe Lilly can explain why she didn't want to come.
I was surprised with the doer and surprised Mike's wife had a one time affair.
I remember a couple of years ago my youngest nephew who was 18 years old, he would get a call from a recruiter from the marines.
My sister wasn't sure if my nephew was really interested or just pulling him along and she didn't want the recuriter to think he was interested if he really wasnm't.
It's possible maybe my nephew wanted to check it out, ask questions, but then they could think you are interested even if you were just checking things out.
Nick just makes the episode better, I missed him.

This episode did not impress me much on the rerun. Honestly I barely remembered the case but I do remember the dinner with Lilly's family at 2 am. As stillmanfan, I too, was surprised with the doer as Victoria. I have to admit I was tired of the military storyline. I mean why couldn't they do something new like a real estate agent crime.
Hokiest scene was when Mike's superior gave him his paper for deployment right after the fight scene. That scene along with the fight and heart to heart talk was rather silly. This must sound harsh but that's what I felt when I was watching.
I did enjoy Lilly's interrogation of Victoria!

I finally got a chance to watch it again and my original opinion about the episode still stands -- it's okay. It's a more forgettable episode from this past season, not one I'd rush to watch again if it ever came on TV. I found the doer to be a surprise, much like most of you, but that was about the only thing about the episode I found interesting.
Very ho-hum, really.

Two other things..
Why did Cooper run off on Lilly, Christina, and Ellen?
The show is done and I still don't know why he ran off on them?
Was Lilly really running away from them or was she just kind of afraid to get close to them?

Wasn't the best episode of Season 7... but not the worst either. Glad to see Lily bonding with her family and Celeste calling Lily out on her avoidance. As for Victoria being the doer,I imagine if they had spent more time with her it would have been obvious she was the doer. It should also be noted this was the last female doer for Cold Case.

Well, I really liked this episode.
Loved the opening montage- great choice of music.
Loved Mike the victim, and loved seeing what a change he made to people's lives. As I've said in another thread, I like that the show portrayed all sides of war. Loved the ending montage.
Interestingly, in the show's run, women rarely killed men. There were only eleven episodes where it happened, and at least one wasn't a murder as such (The Good Death). Also in real life, I think people rarely kill outside their race. I think this was the only episode where a woman killed a man of a different race.
