The higher-ups didn't know what exactly the wasp were doing? and If they discover this the program would have been shut down? I rewatched the scene when Edna dies and they sing the Air Force song... Speechless... My favorite this season Unfortunately, that's the way women were regarded in 1944. Someone was sabotaging them, even in the military, it was essentially their fault for existing. The program was essentially a low cost way to get jobs done so that other "more important" jobs could be filled by men.

Hi boys and girls! Hello! It's the Byrdman coming at you on this early Wednesday morning. I hope that you all are well and that your midweeks are progressing smoothly. Well, I finally got to watch this episode last night, and it was wonderful! Granted, it was not cool what happened to Edna and Vivian at all, but their killers were caught, and that was good. But the story of the WASPs is a great one, and one that needs to be retold over and over. Those girls were tough, but sensitive as well. The great dynamic of the fair gender - as you girls always seem to, you rose to the occasion on this and so many other fronts. I was so glad to see that President Obama and Congress gave the girls in the WASPs medals and recognition. I'm always glad to see girls given their due praise, that is for sure! Girls rock! I loved watching Lilly's interrogation at the end with the lady who covered up the report of Vivan's. She said to Lilly "I speak for the WASPs, I speak for you!" And Lilly unflinchingly looks back at her and says: "I speak for Vivian." The girl has heart! Moe is a chump. I have to admit I am a bit uneasy on how this story is going to pan out. With the fact that Stillman is already on her, Scotty knows about it, and the fact that Lilly had her gun at the ready - these are not good signs. I hope that Lilly can hang in there until Moe gets his day in court. Ugh! The ratings took a hit as well. I'm not sure if anyone saw my update to the weekly ratings from tvbythenumbers.com, but here is a link (you will need to scroll down to see the Episode 5 link): Byrdman's Season 7 Ratings ThreadTake care of yourselves, and keep rocking as always, boys and girls!

The ratings will take a hit due to baseball... but as long as it's in the 10 p.m. timeslot.. it will ALWAYS be killed in the ratings.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I loved this ep. What put it over the top was the music and the cinematography. There were some beautiful shots.
When the ladies sang at the fountain, it just killed me. And Deanna Dunagan knocked her final scene out of the park.
Loved the double takedown as well. This ep jumped to the top of my list. A Time to Hate resting with good company.

The takedowns were different in that at least Wolf was remorseful and refused to let his brother or anyone else take the rap for his crimes. Iris on the other hand still believed that her cold blooded murder of Vivian was justified for the greater good.

Iris on the other hand still believed that her cold blooded murder of Vivian was justified for the greater good. I liked how Wolf thought Edna would "hit the silks" but something went wrong. It makes sense in it's own twisted way. And with a lot of elements influencing the killer's actions. Multiple motives, done seemlessly.

Nice solid episode, with some good history thrown in. Liked that little bit at the end about President Obama. I wish they would have included the ghost of the other woman pilot who was killed.

WASP reairing this Saturday, 2/27. Check local times.
Not sure why they're giving CC a Saturday slot, but I'm glad they're airing this ep. One of this season's best.

I really liked this episode. It was emotional and touching without getting kitschy. The case kept me guessing and I would never have thought of Iris being the doer. But it was very plausible.
Vivian really was an admireable person, she fought for herself and her freedom to reach her dreams, yet helped the other women whenever she could. She seemed to me like a spokeswoman for all the other women trying to be independant in what they do and yet being full of compassion and understanding for people around needing their help.
A nice addition to the emotional case was the small text in the ending montage about the WASP and their recognition by President Obama. It made the whole episode even more convincing for me.
Also, I enjoyed the little L/S moment about Moe and Scottys mum. It was just another proof of their great partner- and friendship.
Besides, I loved the Lilly/Moe interactions, especially the scene in the car. I could literally feel Lillys angst when she asked him to back off and he wouldn't. It was just haunting how he told her her car would be dry again. In my opinion, this was one of the best Lilly-scenes ever on Cold Case. Perfect acting by Kathryn Morris!
Overall, I gave this episode an excellent.

This is one of my favorites in this season so far(second).I was really surprised about Iris being the doer. Rewatching it made it a little bit clearer. I like the parallels of Vivian's life/death to Lilly's life/near death. I really felt sympathy for Vivian from the beginning. Why she wanted to bring justice to Edna. The WASP women singing the Air Corps song was touching.
The scene with Lilly and Moe in their respective cars was intense and I could feel Lilly's fear. I wouldn't be too surprised if Moe really wanted to kill Lilly instead of just scaring the heck out of her.
The final note of the real life honour that was given to the WASP members made me smile and just added to the message of the episode.
