i liked this episode. the case was better than last weeks and the lilly at the psychologist thing was interesting. the way she basically deflected the questions back to the psychologist were pretty tight i thought. if it had've been someone else they probably would've told ehr where to go.

Unfortunately I missed this episode. CTV decided not to run it in its regular timeslot and neglected to advertise that fact. Although from what I've read (on this board and others) people seem to be split on whether it was good or bad, so I really hope this is one of the ones they rerun next summer, I wanna make up my own mind.

I really enjoyed this episode.. I thought at first that the relationship with the older guy was gonna turn into something bad, but I was happy to see that he was just taking an interest in the boy's wellfare. sad to see it was his brother that did it, but I really felt for the bro, you could tell he just thought he was out of options.

I belatedly enjoyed this episode. Gave it a "good" but now, thinking back, I shoulda graded it higher. The characters were novel enough to catch my attention, and convincing as h*ll. Loved the music too--it really gave the whole thing the "ghetto air". I really hate it was the brother who did it though. I didn't want it to be him! I mean, I can understand how overwhelmed a 16 yr old would be--not sure if to the point of offing his own half-brother--but at least to the point of leading others to him. Still... I really REALLY didn't want it to be him. What can I say? I liked the kid. He wasn't so much a murderer as victim himself of the circumstances. But he'll still hafta pay. STUPID KID. A little ambivalent here about the Lilly psychologist scene. It was realistic--I'll give it that much. Some people just DON'T talk during therapy sessions, especially when they're mandatory. But it bugged me the writers wouldn't give anything else away. This denial thing is getting old! Anyway you can't force people to get therapy--so I'm not surprised the shrink woman signed the slip. That last jab hit home though... "the dreams won't go away until you deal with them". Lil will eventually see the truth in this and come back. They always do, the patients. Never believe anything you tell them until they've seen it for themselves. It's part of the process anyway. Shrinks don't heal ya. You heal yourself (this is my inner shrink speaking). Oh and I loved the Jeffries scene. It was priceless that even Miller got scared. Hell, I never expected it--almost jumped out of my seat myself.

I liked Lilly's therapy session how she started to realize that she has no one in her life. You could acutally see the tears starting to form in her eyes; well done again by Kathryn. Wow... I got to see that a lot more clearly tonight. You're right, LII. Well done, Kathryn!

I thought that was very impressive on Kathryn's part as well LII and boxman. It's these sort of subtleties that set her apart. [fangirl moment]I forgot how cute that ponytail is on her!! They should resurrect the ponytail for this last run of episodes. It's adorable and it gives off a "fun vibe" that we all know has been missing with Lilly these last few seasons. Give Lilly (her) Life & Ponytail (back)!! [/fangirl moment]

Agreed. The ponytail should make a comeback.
I must have watched this episode, but I didn't remember much about it. Probably reveling in the Red Sox World Series win. Anyway, I loved it. Loved the little Scotty/Vera moment at the beginning, and in the library ("College blows, dude.")
The case was quite moving, I thought. I liked the bird man, and I wasn't surprised it was the brother, but I was saddened. It was an interesting, I thought, the contrast between Terrence's dad's opinion on staying true to your roots and that of Jeffries. And Jeffries putting the smack down on him...yikes! I thought only Scotty did that!
Echoing all the praise for KM in the therapy scene. EVerybody's said everything I'd say, and probably much more eloquently than I could say it. She just rocks.

This ep was decent. The performances were great, but the "doer" was way too predictable. This was actually one of those eps, like "Gleen," where I actually figured it out just by reading the episode description on my Tivo. But I've come to expect predictablity from this show, and that's not why I watch, so whatever.

It was a Cold Case Night yesterday night ;D ;D ;D With an excellent episode I finally fell to sleep happily 11 o'clock First the case: I loved it! I always think the black gettothing in America is very interesting, since we don't really have that here in the Netherlands. I get a feeling of 'that shouldn't be like that' when I see those things. Will and Kat were really 'affected' by the whole case. Will couldn't keep it in at one time. He was so different at once. Not the wise, old owl. He turned out to be pretty capable of being angry! Loved how Scotty said in the library: You call it, bro. Or something like that. Loved the 'bro'. Shows the team has got a strong band with eachtother, good friends. Something I don't understand. I'm very bad at Maths. Can someone be as good as Terrance without a good education? Is it possible someone can just do those things out of his head? You have to learn that sutff right? Before you can understand them.. It was funny and bright to see how Terrance did the cartcounting. You really have to have a good memory for that! The case was pretty easy solved, though. Couldn't it be solved in 2002 already? What reason did they have back then that it couldn't be? Another question: Did anyone of the team did that case in 2002 or not? Anyhow, a good case after all. But I didn't like the ending song. That's just personal flavor, though. Loved Lilly with the shrink. She did look like a zombie then. She turned into Copmode at once, when the doctor came to close with her personal feelings. I hope were going to actually see a nightmare of Lilly later I didn't really understand what Lilly was pointing at with the docotr's daughter, though. Can anyone explain? Conclusion: Much I didn't understand. But I enjoyed watching. And now I have to go eating. Bye!

I really liked the episode. I loved how Jefferies put a smack down on the father as it scared Kat. I loved Kat's reaction about the father's refusal to pay child support. I liked John telling 'Dewey' to hit the books.. I also liked the part where Vera told Delonte to have fun with his sock, or something like that. I didn't expect it to be the half brother though, thought maybe it was the father or something. I don't know about Lilly, I am surprised it was the last session but I wonder if she will still have nightmares.

Good episode. I tried to get someone hooked on Cold Case and this was the episode that was airing. It didn't work. She thought Jefferies was aggressive (I tried to tell her otherwise), and hated Vera . I think next time I try to induct someone, it will be with an episode I've chosen. I loved Terrance, he was a great victim- smart and brave. I liked that he realised at the end that he wanted to see the stars, and that he wasn't going to be anyone's pawn anymore. Augustine was great- an interesting man with a tragic backstory. I'm glad he found comfort in his birds, but I do wish he had been the one to see Terrance's ghost in the end. Do Lilly and Scotty always have the final confession? It seemed a bit jaring in this episode, because it seemed like Kat and Will did most of the work. Oh Lilly. I would have liked to have seen her make some more progress in her therapy. In a way, I think the therapy did help, because the next year she went looking for her dad. And at the end she had a whole family: Chris, Paul, Finn and Celeste. Still, I think if Lilly had dealt with her shooting properly, she might not have had such a bad reaction to being nearly drowned, and wouldn't have gone after Moe so strongly. I watched this after Discretion, so it was a bit weird to hear Natural Blues again.

So surprised that of three pages of comments, no one mentioned the tie-in here to "The Wire" (I know this aired, and so probably also taped, during the hiatus between Seasons 4 and 5) ... Michael (Michael B. Jordan), who played Wallace who died in Season 1, and Terrance (Maestro Harrell), who played Randy in Season 4 both tragic figures in that show as well although their paths never crossed in The Wire. I did see/hear two shoutouts to the show, however ... the big red-orange couch they're sitting on in the opening scene, to me, referenced the orange couch that they sat on in the yard on the show, and at one point when they first meet Delonte he says "I don't need anymore 'corner boys'" and in fact Randy (Terrance) is known on the show in his season as one of the "corner boys."
