I couldn't post in the ratings section but, in case this wasn't already posted, my newspaper printed that "Cold Case" was #3 this week after "American Idol." Pretty cool! Hmm...you couldn't post there? I'll go unsticky it and then resticky the thread. That's a ProBoard's glitch when that happens unless it's a thread we have stickied and locked. Being number 3 is pretty good. ~Naj

Oh My God, I was freaking out when they starting talking about changing Lilly's hair color!! I was thinking, "Don't You Dare!!" It was a very clever bit of self-referential humor, but.... she better not change her hair! I would die!

Totally agree LukeCordoba! I wouldn't want them to change it either, but I had a good laugh at the not-so-subtle joke. I love when shows insert cracks at themselves/viewers ever (not) so subtly.

I noticed that, too, that the ep seemed out of order. Lily and Scotty not fighting but then we do have Scotty just paired with Vera a bit. That copper hair swatch or whatever looked just horrible against Lilly! It was funny but scary! If they change her hair color they'd better prepare for a lot of 'nay' mail. :yikes: :hammer: ~Naj

Just watched this ep and found it really good, from the casefile POV. I knew who the killer was (couldn't help spoiling myself) but it was still interesting how they made it all come about. Complex and sometimes didn't make sense, but not all murders do. There were so many dead ends, like the affair between Diane and the doctor (can't remember his name).
This Kitty woman had serious issues in the love and friendship department. Almost all the characters had issues really, each in their own particular way--very much like real life--and it was fun to watch.
I kinda like the fact this wasn't a tear-jerker... don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes it seems to me the writers play too hard at that, pushing our buttons to make us cry.
And the scene with Jeffreys, Lilly and Kitty in the beauty salon was hilarious. Jeffreys looked like he couldn't believe what Kitty was trying to pull on Lil.

Hi all, i just saw this episode last nite, i never guessed the killer till the end.It was a sad ending, i felt sorry for the husband and as for the scene with Scotty and Chris, i didn't particularly like that scene either.I thought i recognised Kitty (82), from some programme .... But i was a bit confused, next weeks episode was advertised as "Strange Fruit" but isn't it supposed to be "Ravaged" , i hope we get to see that episode cos i wanted to see the backstory on Vera.

I cannot believe Kitty ('82) was Jenna Van Oy. I didn't think a thing of it at first. I never watched Blossom but knew who she was. I guess with the different hair and film in the flashback, I missed it. Funny how old TV stars sneak in as guest stars on these shows.

Good evening everyone, Hello, this is the Byrdman just getting in touch this weekend. I hope everyone is going through a great weekend just like me. Hey, I was just watching the beginning of this and listened to the first few notes of the beginning music. I remember the first time I saw it, and I thought: "oh no, it's 'Ice, Ice Baby'!" Ha! KM connection with "Cool As Ice", you know? Thankfully, it was Queen and David Bowie with "Under Pressure." This episode had a lot of good music in it: "Dancing With Myself" by Billy Idol, "Caught Up In You" by 38 Special. It was cool. Thanks for your attention, and have a great night and weekend, boys and girls!

Wow, Lilly just had a good interrogation scene. I should add this to the awards nominations.

I bet you're talking about her scene with the doctor, right Naj? I was thinking the exact same thing. I just love that line "nothing says that sweeter than banging her best friend." It's so classic! I also noticed that Lilly pulled one of her pre-judging mistakes. She disliked the doctor from the moment she met him. Then, she continued to give him a hard time with each successive meeting. When he turned out to be innocent, she was quick to make it up to him, though (just like Fly Away). I like when the writers show us that side of her.

Saw this one tonight. Ha ha ha! I was fooled with that Vanilla Ice thing too! Thanks for mentioning that 'connection' thing--I forgot about that! It was very funny! How about the Duran Duran song,"Save A Prayer"? When I first heard it, I thought "Hey, the music on this song is great, but what do the lyrics have anything to do with the funeral??" And even the visual effects of people moving at high speed, with the subject moving at real time?? That kind of visual effect IIRC wasn't really used until the late eighties/early nineties. Then I realized as the story unfolded, that each foreshadowed the drugs and the affair. Cool. :smile39:
If you don't live in an American big city, you may not realize that people like the older Timmy--as a bum with window cleaner at the end of a carwash scraping up tips--actually exist in the inner city. I'm not trying to make a joke here, but as repulsive as they made him, I'm still even surprised he had all his teeth. Sooooo.... Some people here are surprised about big city cops taking shots of liquor in the winter, eh?? Interesting. All I got to say about that scene is: I think I bought a radiator from that auto store at the corner they took a swig of Comfort at. Yeah, right there on Girard. Heh heh heh! Ha ha ha!
