Ewww.... This is creepy. I just watched this episode, not long after reading today's headline news: www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/01/12/missing.boys/index.htmlBoy missing since 2002 found alive Story Highlights • Second boy, missing since Monday, also rescued from apartment • Suspect arrested, charged with first-degree kidnapping • Boys appear to be healthy and are back with families, sheriff says • Officers serving warrant noticed truck matching witness description
ST. LOUIS, Missouri (CNN) -- Two missing Missouri boys, one of them missing since 2002, were found alive in a Kirkwood, Missouri, apartment, and a suspect was arrested, Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke said Friday.
Shawn Hornbeck, 15, of Richwoods, Missouri, was last seen riding his bike to a friend's house in October 2002. Richwoods is about 60 miles south of St. Louis.
William Ben Ownby, 13, had been missing since Monday. He was last seen after getting off his school bus in Franklin County, near St. Louis.... That news made this episode a whole lot more believable and revolting to me.

I saw that story as well, boxman. Good catch with the parallel to CC.

OMG, this episode just seems to get better and better with each time I watch it! Lilly looks just radiant and is very determined to find the truth, as always ;D...but I also love the ending song and where Lilly sees Kyle at the end is so sweet! This is definitly a top episode for me still! ;D

This episode really, really got to me. I think this is the first CC episode that made me sob. I wasn't just tearing up; I was sobbing. And it left a cloud over me for awhile until I was able to make it go away.
The cases about children have always made me sad. But Kyle's story just tore me apart. Hearing that pedophile tell him that his parents didn't want him anymore because he got too expensive. The son sending him to swim away. I just...it was so sad.
This is a really great episode.

I liked the Stillman background. I got the sense that Janie was annoyed that her dad wasn't there at that time then was happen when he showed up. I think maybe her mom was maybe out of camera range?

This is a particularly sad episode- I love the show, but sometimes I think they needed to have an "Extremely Depressing" warning.
Poor Kyle. He was so young. It was bad enough that he was kidnapped, but to be abused by that creep and to be told your parents don't want you anymore? That's horrific.
Archie was a very sympathetic doer. I think he would have been charged with manslaughter- maybe. I bet the ADAs loved dealing with the cases of the now adult, then young child doer. That must have been a legal nightmare, and there were quite a few of them. I felt so sorry for Archie, and glad his mom was there in the end. Loved the scene with Lilly and Archie at the end where she's talking about her mother. That was very powerful.
The poor Breams- Ken was another sympathetic doer. I don't blame him one bit. It was nice to see them comfort each other at the end.
Uncle Ed seemed incredibly nasty- I know he was doing it for the money but he must have figured why an older man would buy a young boy.
