I rewatched it last night. This is such a top notch episode for season two, ranking right up there with "The Letter" for season one.

Hi everybody, I just caught the repeat of this. When was this aired, before or after Chris ran away from Philly? I didn't really catch that part of the season, just wondering if someone could fill me in on this part.Um, I really liked the ep and Scotty definitely does need to get his act together (people who watched the rest of the season already know he does) but anyways good ep.

toodledo22 - This was the episode right before Kensington, which is the one where the detective from New York shows up looking for Chris. So, Chris was still in Philly and dating Scotty in this episode. Hope that helps.

I just got a CBS press release in my email, and the network is no longer running this ep this Saturday. They opted for a rebroadcast of the Big Brother: All Stars casting special instead.

GRRRrrr..... I finally had the chance to watch this ep.... and my dang recorder quit playing at 0:43 minutes into the episode!!! ARRRRghhh!!!!!! It's been a very good episode so far. Not just the story itself, but also with the Jeffries and Valens sidestory too. And I can't figure out who the murderer is just yet either. Pffttt.... Dang recorder!!!

And yet another reason why we really need this show on DVD!!!
I'm sorry boxman. The murder scene is still one of the most moving and well done in CC's history.

It's an unfortunate adendum, but someone should probably mention that Chaney Kley, who played the young Billy, died on July 24, 2007 of an apparent breathing problem (possibly sleep apnea).
He was probably best known for playing the lead in the horror film "Darkness Falls".
It's rather ironic, given how many elderly actors have appeared on the show, that probably the first actor on the show to die would be a relatively young man (less than a month short of his 35th birthday).
The only other actor I know of to appear on the show who's since passed away was Robert Symonds from "Static".

Just rewatched this episode. Zeke's murder was indeed one of the most moving and shocking ones done on Cold Case. I will say this though, and not to blame the victim, but when they were leaving, I actually screamed at him through the tv set to keep his mouth shut. They're LEAVING, that is not the time to put your two cents in. The only main regret I have, the father died before he could face justice.

This was a good episode and I do hope that John gets tougher on Scotty though.
It is too bad the father died before getting justice but at least he would get justice when he dies.
I can't imagine being a 9 year old, knowing your father, uncle and some friends murder a black man. I don't think I could look at my father or uncles the same again after that.
I liked the Lilly and Will paring.

I also think that Stillman should get tougher on Scotty. I don't like Scotty like this...he continues like this, one day he's going to make a big, big mistake. I can't believe the father took her own daughter to see them hang Zeke.
