My biggest cliche gripe is one that has for the most part Cold Case has avoided. Anytime a close friend/mentor of one of the characters shows up, he/she will either be murdered or is a big time bad guy who knows their friend's weaknesses. That one is REALLY old er i disagree, i think cold case has used the whole 'it was the best friend' cliche plenty of times, but that cant really be helped! how many diffrent people can you really introduce as a suspect on a tv show!

This lyric that was played at the end when Scotty saw his mother crying inside of the car at the park go me thinking
I used to be a little boy So old in my shoes And what I choose is my choice What's a boy supposed to do?
Does anything think that this something foreshadowing yet to come or in Scotty's own past?

According to Billy Corgan (lead singer of the band) the song is about 'cutting off somebodies arms'
Of course, Cold Case hasn't been known to use the songs within the context. (See "Into the Blue" beginning - "Once" by Pearl Jam")

I meant of the detectives themselves, like Law & Order etc. But yes, one can only come up with original motives and suspects for murders.

Irishgirl... no biggie. As for the best friend thing...it's old on hand... but in the same breath, if I was asked to list people whom have made me angry/jealous the most or vice versa... the names that come up are all my best friends.

Thought it was a good episode. Glad Nash's little brother did not give up on getting justice for him.

Sibling stories always get to me. It was touching Nash wanted to take his little brother away from the bad life he was in and give him a better one.
I liked the story.

I watched the ep several days ago but I hadn't the time to log in here... It was OK but I voted for good because of the main theme about skating that was very weird and interesting for me, personally. The case itslelf was mediocre. Not too good, not bad. I don't know but in this season too, the cases continue to lack of emotion...
As for the sidestories, all the information was to peak our curiosity and they didn't give a simple clue. The officer against Stillman, Scotty's mother and the photo to Lil's phone appeared but no further information. I suspect that this with the photo has to do with Saccardo and not Moe. (This guy has definetely something with the photos and the cell phones...!!)
And not only Lil, but the whole team, except Kat, seem too nervous this season. The facts explain it but sometimes it's too much...

I liked this episode and I found Scotty and his parents funny. Funny that his father "blackmailed" Scotty with a pair of shoes to speak to his mother and that his mother knew that her husband send Scotty to "interrogate" her. I hope for more in the following episodes to find out what it is with his mother. Wait and see.

Actually I did rewatch it, the first word that Scotty's father said was in Spanish as well as Scotty's.
