I thought it was an okay episode, pales in comparison to the last season finale but it was sitll okay... the story was okay, but again, I didn't think it was brilliant. I did like Lily tailing the guy at the end. I think she's being empowered, the way she couldn't when she was a child. Plus, if she's following him, then he's not following her, running her off the road.

This episode was finally sent here in Germany tonight. To me, this was a nice season opener, though the case per se didn't really touch me. I felt a little reminded of "Factory Girls" and "Wings" all the time. So naturally, the side stories became the more interesting parts of this episode for me. I liked the way they continued with all the little pieces of stories that had begun in season 6. But the best scenes of the whole episode were those in court, in my opinion. Fantastically acted by Kathryn Morris and a very good script as well. And I'm very happy to see Curtis Bell returning as a Recurring Role. I love his character and I wouldn't have wanted to miss him this season. And definitely, I agree with you all about Lilly's dark side showing up in the last scene with Moe. I must say that I can really put myself in her place. Feeling so much anger and injustice can make you lose the path for a while. However, I'm really looking forward to watching the upcoming episodes!

Looking back through threads, I see how some of how change our options on certain episodes or moments once we've had a similar life experience. I can now add myself to that list. And it pertains to Grace and her heat of the moment killing of Darcy. What once seem far fetched and out of left field sadly makes more sense, not only upon rewatching it, but going through a similar (but not fatal) experience with two former best friends. I had a friend named Debbie* whose husband Jeff *left her suddenly, just like Chester did with Grace. And like Chester did with Grace, had basically been cheating on her while they were married. And sadly, like Grace, Debbie dealt with it by being in complete denial. The place he bought to live by himself? Just a rental place for him to work. The divorce papers? They weren't real, they still had a chance to work things out. Pretty much the same excuses/denial mechnisms Grace used Debbie used. And like Grace, Debbie had a best friend. Her name is Paige.* Paige is like Darcy in that she's a kind, caring person but also doesn't give a crap about what people think of her. She's not afraid to date "above" or "below" herself. While she wasn't dating a cousin like Darcy was with Henry, she was dating one of Jeff's close friends Zack,so as a result, the four of them would hang out together. And just like Darcy, Paige realized they weren't meant to be together. To make a long story short, Paige found a guy who made her happy, just like Darcy did. And sadly, just like Grace did, Debbie became angry. No she didn't push Paige over a ledge, but she acted like Grace in every other sense. She became jealous, not only because Paige had happiness while she didn't, it was the final reality check, that yes, her marriage was OVER. She accused Paige and several others (me included) of abandoning her and humilating her. Sadly, that misery loves company line is true. If some people become miserable, they get angry or jealous when things go well for others,no matter how nice or understanding the other person is. It truly was sad,but we had to cut Debbie out of our lives. I only hope she is happier now, but like Grace, her jealously and anger led to things she can't undo. Funny how sometimes living through an experience like this gives you a better appereciation for an episode. Before I rolled my eye's at the heat of the moment killing of Darcy. But now, after my experience at the end of last year and having just rewatched this episode, the motive doesn't seem as far fetched. *Names are fake.

Finally found time to watch all of the season in one go(school this year killed me). The case was mediocre to me. The motive isn't far fetched, but the case reminded me of some earlier episodes. The subplots are what make this episode really good. - I was surprised that they let Moe go, but it's at to the drama and all, so yeah. - Kate and Bell's budding romance was interesting. I am not really into romance, so it was kind of funny for me. - Vera's shoe gave me some laughs. - Lilly storming into the men's bathroom was hilarious. - Lilly being angry over Moe's trial/her stalking him was again adding to the drama. It shows her desperation and irritation. She doesn't know what to do. It's a new side to her.
