Lilly stay near this red house in something like a garden. Her hands was still shaking. She still see Georges face when she shot him. Still hear hims voice in her minde.
Her friends look at her. She look at them and go to the car. Stillman give her police jacket and open the car door on pasager site.
“Scotty get you to your home. You need hot tea and rest” he said.
“No” she said “I want stay here”
Stillman look at her eyes.
“Lil…” he said and touch her shoulder “You broke one my order and we finde you here. He was can kill you. Please… Go home and rest”
“No. I stay here. Later I go with you in to the station. I doesn’t want go home now” she said angry.
Her voice was shaking.
Stillman get a deep breathe and nooded.
“But you stay here with Scotty. SWAT have a hot coffee” he said softly and go in to the red house.
Lilly sit down on the ground and look on the sky. Few seconds later Scotty sit down on her side and give her hot coffee.
“If you need something…” he said softly “I’m here”
“Thanks” she answered.
“You’re scare” he said few minutes later.
“No… I’m just…” Lilly look at Scotty “I never kill somebody. It was my first time”
“I understand” he nooded and give her a smile.
Two detectives was sit on the ground and look on the sky. They doesn’t know with somebody look at them from the woods.

Year 1991

“Don’t… please…” crying a young woman “Don’t kill me!”
She was naked, shaking and bleeding. She was run in the woods. But the man was pretty fast. He catch her and kiss her lips.
“Don’t! Please!” she crying when the man put his pants down.
He get inside her.
After all he hit her on her head and leave.
On the ground was blood.

Present day

Homicide 4:50 am

Lilly was sleep in the crib. She was very tired but she doesn’t want go home.
She fall asleep at 4:00 am when Stillamn said with she must rest and give her order to sleep. She was angry but she do what he said.
“How is she?” ask Scotty when he opened door and saw her on the couch.
“Good. Angry, shaky, scare, but good. She fall asleep an houre ago” answered Stillman “What are you finde there?”
“Oh… We finde something realy bad…” said Scotty and look at Lil.
She was so small, pretty and delicate when she sleep.
“What?” ask Stillman “What are you finde? Bodys, skulls, blood…”
“No” Scotty look at boss, in his eyes was fear “It’s not over. George was not alone”
“What?” Stillman have a open mouth “What are you mean”
“I mean, George was not alone. He have a young brother” said Scotty “but we don’t know where he is and what is he name. We can’t finde him but we know with he raped, tortured and murdered woman in the woods. Like George”
“That’s bad…” said Stillman.
“Yeah… we have a new case. About young Marks. Lilly be not happy” said Scotty and look at partner.
“I know. She need a time but she’ll be Ok. Go home Scotty or, if you want, you can sleep here” said Stillman and show him another couch.

8:05 am

“Good mornig. I looking for detectives Rush and Valens” said NYPD guy, Mark Phillips and show his badge.
“Why?” ask Stillman and look at poice man.
“Becouse I looking for them” said Phillips “They’re not in apartaments so… Maybe they’re here?”
“Maybe” said Stillman “But first you must say me why you looking for them”
Phillips look at Stillmans eyes.
“I have a some questions and bad news” he said.
“What questions and what news” ask Stillman again “They’re my detectives and I want to know”
“About last night and Christina Rush” said Phillips.
Stillman look at the door with crimb. Scotty was stay there and looking at them.
“What happened? You catch Christina? Good! But my detectives need some rest In last night… Serial killer want kill detective Rush so please don’t tire her”
“I finde Christina… but she’s dead” he said and go to Scotty “I have some questions”
“For what?” ask Scotty “Boss, what happening?”
“Come in to my office, please” said Stillman, his mounth was open, he was in a little shock.
Phillips, Stillman and Scotty sit down in Stillmans office.
“I know what happened in last night so I’ll not ask you for this but I must ask about… Was Christina has a bad friend? Somebody who want kill her?” ask Phillips.
Scotty open his mounth “No… Why?”
“We finde her in last night… She was naked, raped and beat up. We finde her in the woods 50 miles from here” said Phillips.
“Oh God…” said softly Scotty “Another bad news to Lil”
“Yeah…” marmured Stillman “Detective… please don’t ask her for anything. Leave her alone. She have a realy bed night and now… I think with Georges brother kill Christina. If I have a right… Lil can be in danger. Scotty, can you protect her?”
“I… I… I think… I can” said softly Scotty “I tell her about Christina, ok?”
“Ok” Stillman noodend.
“I must… I need some air… Excuse me” said Scotty and walk out.
He can’t belive about Christinas death. He don’t know how he must tell Lilly all this bad news… About Georges brother and Christinas death… He was in shock and he worried about Lil feelings.
He oppened door to crimb and he look at Lil. She sit on the couch and look at him.
“What happened?” she ask when Scotty sit near her on the couch and look at hers eyes.
“Christina is dead” he said softly “Phillips finde her body in the woods last night. Stillman think with Georges younger brother kill her and if it was he… You can be in danger. I must protect you”
“Chrisy…” Lilly cry “She’s dead? She’s realy dead? God… I never say her… I never tell her with I loveher and… GOD! How? And how did you knw with George has brother?”
“Ease Lil, easy… Come here” he wrapped her shoulders and hug her “We finde his diary in that house. And pictuers, photographs with him and his brother”
Lilly cry realy hard. She was rely scare. Scottys hearth was in pain. He never saw Lil in that bed condition.
“Shhhhh…. Everythings be ok, I promisse. I feel pain too. She was a bad woman but she was my girl and… I was love her… She hurt me but I was love her” he said softly with pain in his voice “I’ll help you Lilly”

“How is she?” ask Stillman 30 minutes later when Scotty go in to his office.
“Good. Little sad and angry but I think she’ll be ok” answered Scotty “She need rest”
“I know” said Stillman “She need somebody who can hug her and give her comfort”
“Yeah…”
“Are you feel something to her?” ask Stillman.
Scotty look at him. In his eyes was warmth.
“I don’t know… But I think… Yes” answered Scotty “But she not fell something to me, right?”
“Oh no. You wrong… She love you at long time” said Stillman “I was saw her face when I was told her about Elissas death andwhen that woman broke in to her apartament. When I ask her is she Ok, she said ‘Scotty’ and her voice was shaking… She feel something BIG to you”
“Why you said me this?” ask Scotty.
In his eyes was tears.
“Don’t hurt her, please… She’s realy delicate”
”I know. I’m sorry. I have a bad day…”
”Everything be ok. Go home Scotty. Get some rest, some days off. I give you vocation”
“Now. I want be here, work”
Scotty go away and get in to crimb. Lilly was still sleep.
He make some coffee and sandwich. Stillman was right but he didn’t know why boss talk with him about Lil. He know with she have a terrible childhood and all life but he didn’t know what was happened. He know only some facts about her fiance and her mother. But he don’t know what was happened when she was a little girl.
Scotty sit on the chair and eat sandwich. He look at Lil all time. Her face was beautiful. She was beautifule and he saw this in this time.
‘God… I was so dumm’ he thought ‘Why I can’t see her long time ago? Why I was so bad for her? God…’
“Hmmm….” marmured Lil and open her eyes.
“Hi” said Scotty and show her a cup “Do you want some coffee?”
“Yeah…” she said softly and sit on the chair.
To crimb get Vera.
“We finde something about Georges younger brother. His name is Mattew Marks but he change name and surname. Now he is John Bouger” he said “The problem is… We can’t finde him. He has no home, no flat…”
“Give us the acts. We must read about this” said Lilly “We finde him. We must…”

“I need talk with miss Bouger” said Lilly when she and Scotty get in to Bouger residence.
“Ok. Mommy!” shout 15 years old boy who open the door.
Blonde hair woman look at them.
“Please… Sit down here” she show them a sofa “How can I help you? You’re cap, right?”
“Yes. We’re detectives Rush and Valens. Homicide” said Lil and they show badges “We needto talk about your husband, John”
“Yeah? Why?” ask woman.
“He’s real name is Mattew Marks. His brother was a serial morder. Where can we finde your husband?” ask Scotty and look at Lil.
“I don’t know. Maybe he’s dead… I don’t know. It doesn’t metter to me” answered miss Bourman “He was like a devil. I hate him and I’m glad with he’s not here”
“What was happened?” ask Lilly.
“He beat me up. And Thomas. I call the police and they’re get him out of here. He’s not come back so I think he’s somewhere far or he’s dead” she said and look at detectives “Why you looking for him?”
“He’s a morder and rapist too. He kill somebody yesterday” said Scotty “And long long time ago too”
“Whoaaaahh… God… I wasn’t know about this” said miss Bouger “Ask Maul about him. Maul is his bets friend… was his best friend”
“Maul?” ask Lil.
“Yeah… Maul. Timo Maul” said miss Bouger “I don’t know where he live”
“Ok. We finde him” said Scotty.

2:25 pm
Scottys car

“Are you want diner? I’m hungry” ask Scotty and look at Lil.
“Yes. I’m hungry too” said Lil.
“Ok. So we go to ‘Barney Bar’” said Scotty.

3:05 pm
Police station

“Timo Maul, age 41, rapist and morder. He’s in jail” said Stillman when Scotty and Lil tell him about Maul and Bouger.
“How did you know?” ask Lil.
Stillman look at her and show her acts about Timo Maul case.
“It was my case” he said “I know Maul very good. He’srealy bad guy”
“We must talk to him” said Scotty.
“I’ll do this” said Stillman and give them Mauls acts.
“Why we can’t talk to him?” ask Lil and look at boss.
Stillman look at her eyes and said softly: “Becouse he can hurt you very much. He’s a very bad man. Trust me. You two stay here and read acts. And of course… Write me a raport”

Stillman back from jail very unhappy and angry. He look at Lilly and Scotty. His eyes was tired.
“Your raprt… Are you write him?” he ask.
“Yes” answered Scotty “Have yaou some news, boss?”
“Yes” said Stillman and give him documents “Here they are. But…” Stillman said in Scotty ear, softly “Don’t read page 5 with Lil”
“Why?” he ask, Lilly stand up.
“Somethings wrong? Why you’re can’t talk with me?” she ask.
“Just don’t” said Stillman and go into his office.
Scotty sit down on his chair and open documents. He start reading:
“Mattew Marks, age 38, brown hair and green eyes. He and his brother George, together, killed: birds, cats, dogs…” he read and read and stop on page 5 “Ok. This is over. It’s all what we have”
“Yayks… That’s not good. If Mattew is like said Maul… We can have a big problem to finde and catch him” said Lil, sad and tired “What time is it?”
“Time, time… It’s 8 pm. You want some rest? Maybe sleep? Come on Lil. I get you to your home” said Scotty and stand up.
“No! Not home. I’ll stay here”
“Lil… Don’t be silly. I can stay with you. You’ll be not alone, please, come on”
Lil look at him and nodded. She want sleep and rest on her bed. She want see Olivia and Tripod and she want be safe, comfortable.

9:10 pm

“Go to bed Lil” said Scotty.
He and Lilly sit on her couch. She was in pyjamas and she was quiet so Scotty look at her.
“Lil…” he said softly and smile.
She fall asleep. Scotty put her on his arms and carried her to bedroom. He gently led her to bed.
“Mmmm…” she marmured but not wake up.
“Shh…” he said softly.
He back on the couch and open Marks documents. He start reading page 5.
“Ow God…” he said very softly “She’s in danger” he look into Lillys bedroom.



Next day
8 am
Police station

“She must be protect” said Scotty in Stillman office “She’s in danger! This monster want kill her, like George. They was there. On that attic. Together”
“I know!” said Stillman “I know, but… You know… Lil is us only girl and she want show us with she’s strong, but she doesn’t. You must protect her very gently. She can’t see this”
“Ok! I will! I promisse!”
“Hey guys. Whet happened?” said Lil when she get into Stillmans office “We have some news about young… Marks?”
“No Lil. We Just talk” said Stillman.
“Talk… Ok. So I’ll make some coffee” she said and go away.
Stillman look at Scotty.
“How she was yesterday? In her home?” he ask.
“Tired. She fall asleep on her couch. I carried her to bad” answered Scotty “I’ll go. Wedrink coffee and we’ll go on this attic, ok?”
“Ok, but please… be careful”
“I will”
To Stillmans office get Vera.
“We have next victim. It’s Lil neighbour, Samantha Pendletone”

Great chapter ruda! You have me at the edge of my seat!

„Samantha Pendletone?” ask Scotty „This young woman?”
“God…” said Stillman.
“What was happened guys?” ask Lil and give them coffee “Tell me, please. Is it something about me?”
Stillman, Vera and Valens look at her. She was so small and delicate woman. Tey never think abut this. They always think with she’s a detective, normal cop, friend. But not normal woman.
Scotty touch her shoulder and give her easy squeeze.
“It’s about your neighbour, Samantha Pendletone” said Stillman.
Lil look at him. Her eyes was dark, realy dark.
“What… What’s wrong?” she ask and take off Scottys hand from her shoulder.
“She’s… Death. YoungMarks kill her” said Vera “He leave a message to you”
“What message?” ask Stillman.
Everybody look at Vera. He take a deep breathe, open a documents and read:
“I’ll kill you b*tch. You kill my lovely brother so you must die. Like she, Samantha Pendletone” he end and look at them “He write this on wall. Hers blood”
“Show me” said Lilly “I want see this. I want now who want kill me. I want know how bad is young Marks”
In her eyes Scotty look tears, angry and fear. She was shaking and determinate.
“Easy Lil” said Stillman “You not go there. You and Scotty stay here”
“What?! Here?!” she shout.
“Yes Lil. You two stay here. Scotty… Keep an eye on her. She cant move from here” said Stillman again “Vera and Jeffries go with me”
“Where are you going?” ask Scotty and take Lillys hand.
“We’re going to Georges house. In attic. There was baginning for everything. Maybe I finde something good. Somethin what can say us where isyoung Marks”

“Take me off” said Lil and sit on the chair in crimb “I want do something. This is my case”
Scotty look at her.
“And you is us only girl. In danger. We all want protect you becouse you is so good to us. So smart and inteligent. Please... Calm down“ he said and sit on next chair near her.
“Scotty, I cant calm down” she said and look at his eyes “My sister is dead. I’m in danger. I don’t know... Is my life have a sense?”
Valens gently touch her hand.
“Yes Lil” he said “You life have a big sense. Tell me, who can re- open and close old case? Who?” he look at her blue eyes “Only you. You give a chance to people who doesn’t know what was happened years ago. You give them hope to know the truth. You catch the charges and put them to jail. You life is very good Lilly”
In her eyes Scotty look tears and big pain.
“You don’t know something about my past” she said “You don’t know me so good like you think. Sorry…”
“What was happened in your past?” he ask.
“Case number 5543214. Read” she said and look at him.

Stillman, Vera and Jeffries get into Georges house. They go to attic. Everywhere was blood. On walls, on floor…
“He’s monster” said Stillman.
Vera and Jeffries nooded.
When they get into attic everywhere was bodys. Womans bodys. Bleeding and naked young womans bodys.
