hey, you could have writen something like: a hoard of super intelegent alians decided they had a grudge against earth and blew it up. there were no survivers. the end ;D thats niether quality, quantity or on topic  note- dont include this as part of the story |

she took a shuddering breath and tried to hold back her tears, she failed miserably. no matter how much he wanted it to be true, she knew Scotty couldn't do anything other than sit on the sidelines yelling encouragement while she battled her memories.

Scotty sat awkwardly, not knowing what else to say- he wasn't good at comforting people- he never knew what to do or say. not like Lilly. she always knew exactly what to do, when to back off and let people sort bits out for themselves, when to offer comfort. it was one of the skills that made her such a good detective. he tried to think what she would do now if she was in his situation, taking a wild guess, he gingerly put his arm around her shoulders

Lilly bit her lip, hoping physical pain would overcome the emotional. still, the ache inside her, the fear and loneliness she had been carrying ever since that night won out. the fear and loneliness that made her build walls around herself, walls that made her strong, able to cope with anything...except this. suddenly she felt something warm and strong wrap around her shoulders. Scotty!, she had almost completely forgotten about him being there

ok ok ok
Suddenly she felt something warm and strong wrap around her shoulders. Scotty! She had almost completely forgotten about him being there...
"Why you want help me?" she ask.
Scotty look into her blue, tired eyes. He saw pain, fear and tired. He know with she need some rest, sleep.
"Becouse I can't watched like some body hurt you, my best frined" he answered and give her a little squeeze.
She put her head on his shoulder. She was so tired...
Scotty look at her and see how her tiredly eyes was closing and few minutes later Lil was asleep.
*She's so... beautiful...* he though.
"Lil" said softly Scotty "Come on... Go to bed"
"Mmmmm..." she marmured and smile a little when he touch her forehead "I want sleep here. I feel safe..."
Valens smile.
"I carry you there and I stay with you. Come on" he said and put her up into his arms.
Like he said, he carry her to her bad, gently led on the bed ans stay with her. She take his hand and sleep.

Scotty woke with a start. It was dark and his first thought was ' where the hell am i? ' his second, ' what happened?' but the one that bugged him most ' who's that outside the door?'. Reaching for the lamp that should be on the table beside his bed, he realized that
1) this wasn't his house
2)this wasn't his bed
3) there was someone else lying, probably asleep, beside him
Leaping out of the bed, he backed away until he felt his back against the wall.
Feeling around, he found the light switch. He flicked it down and waited for light to reveal where he was and who it was in the bed.
Nothing happened- the bulb had blown.
Feeling a little stressed at the absence of light, he felt his way around until he found the door.
Opening it he stepped out into an unfamiliar hall and quietly shut the door behind him.
Suddenly, something hard connected with the side of his head, knocking him onto the floor, he felt someone grab his wrists and force them behind his back before tying them together.
When his attacker had finished tying him up, he sat him up with his back to the wall and flicked the light on

temporarily blinded, Scotty squinted the tears from his eyes as he tried to get a look at the man standing before him
"i thought cops were supose to be smart"
the man drawled
"but i didn't even need to set a trap to get you out of the way"
trap? out of the way of what?, then his memory returned
"Lil.."
he whispered. the man looked triumphant and smug
"yea, her. ill just go and fetch her now if you don't mind, and you don't seem to be in much of a position to argue"
"touch her and ill..."
"you'll what?- sulk?"
Scotty realized there was nothing he could do to stop him taking Lilly away and doing what he wanted with her... nothing except...
he opened his mouth to yell a warning
"uh uh, now i cant allow that"
the man kicked him fiercely in the stomach- Scotty doubled over in pain and the man used this to tie something over his mouth
"don't sulk- this is for your own good, ill tell you what, you stay here and when I'm finished with your girl, ill bring you an ice cream, howds that sound?"
he chuckled at his own wit, under normal circumstances Scotty would have groaned at a joke that lame, but these wern't normal circumstances. He watched, helpless as he man opened the door. The worst part as when Lilly woke up and called sleepily
"Scotty..?"
"sorry sweetheart, you boyfriends a little tied up right now"
he could do nothing to help as Lilly cried out and struggled, nothing except watch as the man dragged her away. he couldn't even say what was in his heart
"i love you Lil, I'm sorry"
....
Scotty woke up drenched in sweat, gasping for air
LILLY, he had to make sure she was alright, reaching out blindly he found her and dragged her into a tight hug
"Lilly, thank god your alright!"
"Scotty...?"
she wriggled slightly then relaxed
