Hi, Ruda!
Sorry to say this, but I don't share your enthusiasm over Ray. As an individual, sure, its obvious why women are attracted to him. But he's not a good match for Lilly in my view. Lilly is pretty much a career-oriented overacheiver, while Ray seems to be a leisure-oriented underacheiver. He's a charmer, but he uses his charm to get what he wants from Lilly--not to shower her with the kind of personal attention and affection she doesn't realize she needs.... Someone like Lilly who has so many skeletons in her closet needs a good listener, and Ray isn't that type of guy.
I thought for a long time that Scotty would be a good match for her. But then I began to see how little they "get" each other. When they are out on interviews together, Lilly would make barbs at him that Scotty either "doesn't get" or doesn't find funny (like in the episodes "Dog Day Afternoons", "Best Friends" and "Willkommen", for example). There's a basic level of understanding that's missing between the two for a good relationship to blossom.
I haven't seen many episodes with Kite in them, just "Greed" and "Lover's Lane". From what I've seen, though, he seems the best match for Lilly to me. He has a bit of a cocky, self-confident, aura that I think matches well with Lilly's own cockyness. I can see the two trading barbs in a clever, witty-banter kind of way, like how Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis did in "Moonlighting". (I think I mentioned this before??) Kite isn't "broken" over past girlfriends like how Scotty seems to be, so he seems more apt to laugh over things that Lilly may do, rather than to brood....
I'm still interested in hearing more about McRay and Lilly's flings, though--both the one in "Dog Day Afternoons" and from the time Lilly was nineteen.

I think he and Lil would be great together! So I'm a teeny tiny bit (ok a whole freaking lot) biased because heis so nice to look at, but I think he and Lil would work out well. They know each other's history... He's worked his way up to... So I don't exactly remember, but I think he said he owns a workshop or something now (and I have the feeling he did that so he'd be good enough to come see her- anyone else think that?) so he's not a total dropkick drifter. And he rides a motorbike. And he's gorgeous. Mhm. *nods*.

Well I don't know if they will allow Ray to pass through again but I suspect if he does he will be met by either Kite or Joseph or both. I'm still open to Kite coming back but if he has been replaced as a DA then that's probably an indication he's not coming back. I totally missed the fact that the DA was replaced. Which ep was that? I thought Kite was good for Lilly (though at the time I didn't want them to go as far as marriage). Joseph appears to be a match and I like his cats. But like boxman said Lilly and Ray are at opposite ends in life and not someone Lilly would want to develop a serious relationship with. |

Yeah...Ray was pretty damned awesome.
And in other Brennan Elliott news...for those who dont bother to read credits of movies....much unlike myself....i had a huge surprise when i saw Brennan's Name in the credits for the Spetember 11 film Flight 93. I haven't seen it yet cos whenever i got to the video store, they're alreadt being rented. But yeah, i can't wait to see it. I think i saw a screencap of him in the movie somewheres once upon a time, and he looked pretty damned cute.

Brennan was on last night's episode of The 4400, and boy did he heat up the screen with lead Jacqueline McKenzie (Diana Skouris)! He played a man who was dating her sister until he found out that Diana's adopted 4400 daughter had a vision of him marrying Diana. The two tried to avoid each other, but in the end couldn't fight fate. He was awesome on the show and actress Jaqueline McKenzie made a recent reference to him joining the cast of The 4400, but I'm not sure if that's the case or not. Anyway, here are some caps:   |

I think i saw a screencap of him in the movie somewheres once upon a time, and he looked pretty damned cute. Brennan's portrayal of Todd Beamer in Flight 93 is very moving. The film overall is very powerful given the subject matter. For me, it was pretty heavy and emotional. I think the first time I saw it, I was in tears for almost 3/4 of the film.  Todd Beamer was arguably one of the most heroic folks on board, coining the now infamous phrase, "Let's Roll," as the passengers began their attempt to take back the plane. I remember after the film premiered on cable here in the U.S., many of the cast appeared on "Larry King Live" to talk about their experiences filming - especially knowing they were portraying now infamous heroes who, prior to that day, were just ordinary citizens. They talked about the challenges, the sensitivity to the family members, etc. I remember Brennan being very gracious about his experiences - and how fortunate a gift he thought the role was for him.  |

No problem. I'm glad you guys enjoyed them! He really is very hot, and the character he is playing on The 4400 is such a great guy (Diana is a little bit like Lilly, so she needs a great guy like this!). It's hard not to love him on that show. I'll post more caps if he shows up during the final two eps of the season. |

You're right he is a very great guy on The 4400, TVFan. I never really got any emotions built up for him on CC, but now I am like in love with this guy LOL . And his relationship with Diana is truly just sooo sweet *melts*. Oh please do post more caps if you can  ;D |

I completely agree tiger_lilly. I mean, I thought he was adorable on CC, but we didn't really get to know Ray. He only had a couple of scenes, and none of those had anything that would have given us a chance to know him. In fact, I remember saying in the Dog Day Afternoons thread that I might have bought into the Lilly/Ray storyline better had they given us a chance to see why Lilly was so drawn to him (other than the obvious). I guess I'm just a total package kind of girl. On The 4400, we got the total package, and now I love this guy! Anyway, here are a few more from the ep:    |
