Oh crap, only 6 nominations? Damn...
In no particular order:

- Addison Montgomery, private practice
This woman kicks serious butt. She's awesome, has great hair, wears good outfits and is capable at just about everything medicine.

- Lorelai Gilmore
This woman was flawed but carried it so well. Her love of life was always infectious, and her love life hilarious. And she was a good mother (but not such a good daughter... You win some, you lose some).

- Dana Scully
The original strong female character. Had some great outfits in season 4, found the love of her life, lost him, gave birth, gave her son away, faced the paranormal, survived cancer... And did it all with quiet grace.

- Dr Tony Hill
Crackjob psychiatrist from Wire in the Blood. Just love him and his little blue shopping bag. And Robson Greene plays him - that man is a triple threat, he acts, he dances, he makes intelligent conversation... But the character is wounded, slightly crazy, amazingly intelligent. Love him.

- Dexter Morgan
The best serial killer on television, hands down. Such a layered character.

- Temperance Brennan
At least season 1 and 2. She's losing her flame as the show goes on, but the early days were great.
