More info soon, all I know right now is that there's a narcotics cop involved in the investigation, someone who rubs Rush the wrong way.

Nope, it's definitely the wrong way. *lol*Too bad there's not enough info yet. Maybe it has to do with the fact that this is episode number 16. Wonder why it's coming before #15...

Weird. The info I have access to clearly state that this is number 16. Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter, does it?

More info soon, all I know right now is that there's a narcotics cop involved in the investigation, someone who rubs Rush the wrong way. That's interesting because spoiler info that I read for this episode says that the narcotics cop (currently set to be named Billy Saccardo) is supposed to be quite like Lilly Rush. Maybe being around people like her bugs her.

I hope he isn't supposed to be another love interest for Lilly.
BTW- what year is this case supposed to take place?

Sorry to post twice but I've found something out From Spoiler blog: spoilertv.blogspot.com/search/label/Cold%20CaseBilly Saccardo Late 30s. He is an undercover narcotics detective in Philadelphia. An irreverent, brass-hating, off the reservation type, Saccardo does things his own way even if it means bending the rules big-time. Guy's got an encylopedic knowledge of who's who in Philly's seediest neighborhoods because he comes from the streets. Saccardo's a former bad boy, a Kensington wanna-be thug who, at age 17 was forced to choose between a lifetime of crime or going straight. He chose the latter, did a stint in the Army, and then the Police Academy. Billy is hated by his bosses, loved by his peers - he's a cop with his own ingrained sense of justice who's dedicated wholly to the job and always goes above and beyond the call - even though his way of doing this irritates the hell out of the brass. Much like Lilly Rush, Saccardo cares deeply about what he does and, most importantly, the victims he "speaks for". Note: This will be a recurring role, 2 episodes this season (1st episode starts testkeywordxyz March 11-20, 2008) more next season.

It sounds like this character has potential to be a love interest for Lilly. The "this will be a recurring role" statement sorta alludes to that idea, but you never can tell for sure. You know me, I'm all for it (as long as they do it right). Thanks for the further info LII.

If this is a potential love interest I hope they don't make him like Joseph.

sounds interesting. I hope it isn't a love interest either otherwise, knowing the writers it will go soapy. I'd rather they deal with the shooting thing first and then if they want her to get with someone do it properly and later. Hope this doesn't turn into another shamozzle (SP)

A recurring role, huh? I'm not sure I want to see him become another love interest for Lilly but we'll see what happens, especially if he's set to come back next season as well.

If they don't repeat what happened the last time, and add a love triangle to it. More importantly I'd like to see a sort of Lilly/kite relationship in the way it was handled( a balance between the case and the relationship)

please no more 2000s cases for now. I hope it is another 80s case. It seems to be an 80s case and probably he might be involved.

So this is definitely episode #16 as I just posted spoilers for number 15.
It's a 1997 case. Victim is Pete Doyle, 35, who had just been released after spending 12 years in prison. I won't be able to read the info until tonight so if anyone else wants to step in and add something please do.

I'd rather they deal with the shooting thing first and then if they want her to get with someone do it properly and later. Hope this doesn't turn into another shamozzle (SP) ITA. Lilly's had enough love interests for a while, and romance is not what she needs to focus on right now. I would love if in this particular ep when he "rubs her the wrong way" it leads to an admission about how she's (not) dealing with the shooting. As for the future, I don't know. I'd like to see her go toe-to-toe with someone though, for multiple eps.
