Here's a shout out to everyone.
Why doesn't people like to use my signatures is it because mine don't have a certain look to them. What can I do to improve ( I use photoshop cs3).

I am going to try to answer you because I have the impression that it is because of me that you ask questions. It was not my intention. I observed attentively your work and your best banners are often the simplest, without many of effets. Change the luminosity, the police of writings, apply you to blendings, do not deceive effects.Look for tutoriels which could help you to improve you. You can also frame your banners. All these details count. That's just my opinion. I hope that it will help you.

I have problems with tutorials they never seem to turn out perfectly. I used many different layers and plugins but it all look plain and boring. Guess all the class I too back in college didn't seem to help much.

You can try to change software as Gimp. It looks like Photoshop. Try to discover alone all the functions of your current software and make tries.Personally, I learn every time new things.

It is maybe the format of your gif which is not correct.

I've used my own photography that I'v blended into the background still it's not the way I'd like it to be. How do you sharpen pictures in Gimp and make a nice border??

Do I need to make separate threads for different types of art, like avatars, banners etc..? Or can I have all my art in one thread?

Do I need to make separate threads for different types of art, like avatars, banners etc..? Or can I have all my art in one thread? Hello bananapancakes! The sticky Rules thread Guidelines says you may have several threads to keep your artwork categorized. I think that would be easier than just putting your artwork all together.

Alright, I'll give this a shot, and I hope you don't take too much offense to this. First of all, when making a sig, banner, or avatar you need to choose a theme and stick with it. I've noticed that in some of your sigs you have more than one theme.
second of all, the theme should NEVER overpower the subject. If you want to use flowers in your sig, use them sparingly. You don't want the flowers overtaking Lilly.
Third - KISS (Keep it Simple Simon) You don't need a bunch of images in one sig.
Fourth - While experimenting with filters, and all that stuff can be fun, and useful; know that filters should be used sparingly and should ALWAYS enhance the subject.
Finally - KISS.
Hope this helps!

Good points, Rev!!!! Also the banner should evoke an emotion or cause the viewer to think. A banner could evoke laughter, or sadness, or fear even! Or it could make you see something "in a new light."
It also helps to use powerful images in your banners. Rev's current banner is a good example of this. Lilly pointing a gun at someone is one of the most powerful images that you can find!

Yes, the evoking emotion thing! That's another good one!
Another one; you want your sig to 'circle' within itself. That is, you want people to be drawn to your sig, and stay there.

Thanks, I'll try to keep this all in mind. It's a bit difficult, to try get people drawn into my signatures. Like I said, I'll kept trying till it gets right.

One more question, how to do make things brighter, I've used the curve tool on photoshop. My avatars aren't coming out bright.
