Cold Case MadTV repeating this weekend

I like the parody on many levels. Its attention to detail in including elements of the show, or even including details about Kathryn that a non-fan would never notice(like the quick shot of Lilly chewing on her thumbnail). It doesn't really offend me per se, but sort of affirms my own fandom!


I mean I watched it and cracked up, then five minutes later I was completely absorbed watching Lilly and the serial killer truckdriver going at it in the interrogation room in "The Hitchhiker" episode that was repeated this past Sunday.

The fact that they reworked the songs, rewrote the lyrics, etc. Alot of work went into that parody, and I can only admire the result.

Also, I think the parody was on the side of crazy/over- the-top-nuttiness, and not bad natured humor. I laugh everytime I think about that mouse! It's not that I'm laughing at the show ,I'm laughing at the parody of the show.

Anyways from Kathryn's myriad of talk show interviews that I've seen, she's a very fun loving person "in real life", and I think she'd laugh her butt off if she saw the parody!

Maybe it's a personal failing of mine. I know how hard it is to create something outside the norm, and my heart goes out to those people. The man who throws pies at the Venus de Milo hits only himself.

;D Irishkale you said what I can't write. I like the way they pick up on things about the show and characters and then exaggerate it to humorous proportions. Of course, humor is all in the eye of the beholder. When you originally posted this was from MadTV I wasn't expecting the clip to be funny but I was wrong. :laugh:

Poor Lily gets made fun of. Actually I really like the second video cap there of her. If their MadTV version is a hit they may attempt a sequel.
