Oh great irishkale. It does look funny. Although anytime I have watched some of that particular show--they seem to miss the humor part. I don't know why that is. Second City used to be hilarious. Remember that way back in the late 70"s on Friday nights? And, of course, Saturday Night Live is pretty good.
I'll have to check our local Fox station. I only recall MadTV being shown on the Comedy Channel.
{oh irishkale, I hope you aren't in the path of hurricane Francine}

Thank you irishkale, I don't think I'm going to be able to watch the show the same way ever again. That is really funny. Someone did the homework and the songs were funny. Now I never thought about what lurks in Lily's hair. ~Naj :lol:

I was almost crying it was so funny. That lady is hilarious. My favorite parts were the songs. The "More Than A Feeling" parody took the cake in that flashback. The Liberty Bell being the murder weapon was a nice touch. The highlight was the ending when she sees the victim and even the victim is telling Lily to brush her hair. It was so cruel yet funny. They have to do that again.

That was seriously the funniest parody I've seen in a long time! I started cracking up laughing all over again reading everyone's comments on it! :laugh: The songs were too funny. I agree that someone did their homework b/c they used different things from many different eps. Seriously, I was crying, I was laughing so hard. Thanks for posting it Irishkale.

I saw the episode this past Saturday and I too was laughing my behind off. I like MadTV because they don't hold anything back and they really do pay attention to what show they are making fun of. Just watching that makes me wish that Lily would do something different to her hair.

melliemel - I almost spit juice all over my computer when I read your post! That part was soooooooo funny. I had forgotten about it too. Thanks for reminding me! I loved the part with the boxes: (I'm paraphrasing) Evidence that doesn't solve the case Evidence that might solve the case Evidence that solves the case Oh, and the Billy Joel parody song was so funny. The part about her "Calvin Klein suits" had me rolling.

Not meaning to rain on anyone's parade, but the urge to see something one takes seriously being ridiculed is puzzling to me. Psychological explanations?? To make lemonade out of lemons, I guess such a parody proves CC has achieved some level of prominence.

To make lemonade out of lemons, I guess such a parody proves CC has achieved some level of prominence. Hello blankregus, I have to admit after I saw this clip (parody) and then watched the Cold Case rerun over the weekend, I couldn't help think of the clip and laugh. The overemphasized Lily looks of MadTv's version kept creeping into my mind. And I too, haven't been particularly all that fond with the ending music to the story play out so I guess they kind of said what I've thought on my own about it. But somewhere in that I guess it's funny to see that others can see what I've thought myself. It doesn't mean I dislike the show. One show that I've watched since the mid-seventies has been "Saturday Night Live" and they do this all the time with shows that I watch and enjoy. I guess for me it's about finding the humor in their intepretation. ~Naj
