Here's a small article from Zap2it.com. I'm not sure, but I guess Hopkin's pilot didn't get picked up.
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - FOX is upping the romantic-entanglement factor on its new drama "North Shore" with two additions to the cast.
Josh Hopkins ("Ally McBeal") and Dylan Bruno ("Where the Heart Is") have signed on to recurring roles on the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Elsewhere, FX's "Nip/Tuck" and the CBS movie "While I Was Gone" have also added to their casts.
Hopkins, who had a recurring part on CBS' "Cold Case" last season, will appear in at least four episodes of "North Shore" as Morgan Holt, the fiance of Brooke Burns' character, Nicole Booth. Previously only an unseen an unheard person on the other end of a cell-phone conversation, Morgan will complete the love triangle with Nicole and former flame/current co-worker Jason Matthews (Kristoffer Polaha).

That's really interesting CC Fan. I think I would have been happier if his show had been picked up b/c atleast it would justify the end of the Lilly/Kite relationship. I wonder if this opens up the possibility of JH returning to CC next season in guest spots from time to time (not as Lilly's love interest, just in his normal ADA role). They're going to have to explain where he is b/c Lilly and Co won't be going to him for warrents and such if he's not on the show. Or maybe they'll just let it go without addressing it. I guess we'll just have to see. ;D

Now THAT's interesting....but it still doesn't explain where he went on Cold Case, cause I'm sure they'd release him long enough to guest star....

So bascially they have a couple of options.
1. they could have him stay as ada and see how lilly and kite interact then. since its only 4 episodes of "north shore" it shouldn't be a problem.
2. they could replace the ada and they'd have to come up with a story to explain where kite went.
either way its going to have to be creative.

Heres my feeling:
If they keep him on the show, that would mean that Lilly would probably have a harder time advancing in terms of character. For instance, if he's around a lot, and she still has feelings for him, she may be more reluctant to date someone else. While this might be interesting, I'd rather watch her develop even though I really liked Killy. :lilyslug:

I'm gonna stir the pot a bit here. I didn't really like the part of Kite nor did I really care too much for him with Lily. There was no chemistry. Is my perception about that wrong? Am I alone seeing no chemistry between the characters? And like CC says... how will Lily's character progress if Kite's in the picture? ~Naj  |

Well, you guys know me, and you guys know that I loved Killy. But I also see how you wouldn't. There are some shows where everyone seems to love the couple, even if they don't have the best chemistry. I personally felt as though they had great chemistry, but that's just me.

I thought they were great at the time, but I also thought that Lilly wasn't all that comfortable with him. I also thought he was great until the finale. Now, when I watch these reruns that have Killy stuff in them, I see Kite through new eyes and it seems to me that he was only interested in getting into her pants (whether he actually did or not). Like in "Glued" when he kept pushing her to call him, then he just shows up, then he forces his way into her house and seems disappointed when she sends him home. Now, I really don't like him and won't miss him if he doesn't come back. Maybe I'm just jaded b/c I know how it plays out.  |

I really hope that JH will return to Cold Case next season. Although I was never fussy on his romance with Lily, I loved Kite and I think JH is great. I'd like to see him back as the ADA working on some cases with them. I also liked him in Without a Trace as Samantha's cop former lover so it would be nice to see him back on there aswell

Pity me -- I tried "North Shore" tonight for JH. It's of course eyeball-searing drivel of the first order. JH was his usual charming self, and seemed unembarrassed by his lines. Now THAT's acting! I'd welcome him back to CC, for business assignments. Like Naj, I found Killy a bit forced, but wouldn't that be necessary to engage Lilly?
