I never heard of her before CC ... I wish they had given her a larger part in this movie If you like Sci-Fi, I highly recommend Minority Report. I think its a masterpiece of the genre. Basic story is by Phillip K. Dick, the author that a lot of movies have been based upon. I saw it in the theatres back in 2003 (??) I think... Anyway, after that, Tom Cruise can do what ever he wants to do... I'm still a fan. He was really incredibly good in that movie, and of course, so was Kathryn. I love Minority Report (considering I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, to say the least) and have made most of my friends watch it.

Hello boys and girls! Hey, it's the Byrdman just dropping everyone a line. I hope that you all are doing well on this wonderful weekend! Well, I managed to see this movie last night, and I saw all 18 seconds that KM was in it, just sitting in the chair in the waiting room of Jack Nicholson's office. I read somewhere that she had a non-speaking role in this one. Does anyone know if she was in the movie later as well? I'm just curious. Thanks for your attention, take care and have a rocking weekend, folks!

I've liked this movie a while and have seen it a few times. I like Helen Hunt. Well, I managed to see this movie last night, and I saw all 18 seconds that KM was in it, just sitting in the chair in the waiting room of Jack Nicholson's office. I read somewhere that she had a non-speaking role in this one. You were looking at it. Nope that's it. I'm a little surprised it was for as long as 18 seconds. I'll get some images and maybe a clip of it up here later.

Hi there RichE and LII! Hello to you both! How are you doing today? Thank you for the clarification, RichE. I thought that was the only part she was in. "What if this is as good as it gets?" - Jack Nicholson's line with her in the scene. And I agree, LII - she should have had a bigger role. I guess it just did not work out for whatever reason. Oh well, at least I saw it, right? Thanks again to you both for your clearing up this matter for me. Take care, and have a great day, RichE and LII! Woo-hoo! KM is in another new episode tonight. She is the best girl on tv!

I have a copy of the movie, It is shame but at least Kathryn does appear in the movie. A movie can't be good unless she is in it

KM is actually on screen for less than 8 seconds in a scene lasting 17. Here you go: 17 second scene clip in MP4 format, small size. 550KB. RapidshareSame again only much bigger and better quality. 6.8MB Rapidshare

What exactly was she doing holding up her hand, I can't remember There's nothing in her right hand. Her right arm is resting on the sofa arm, she lifts it off the arm, moving her hand towards her face, and then as the door slams (off camera) she stops and starts to lower it again. Her left hand is never seen, her arm is down across her stomach with her hand tucked in against the sofa arm.

So what exactly was Kathryn playing I've added a cap of KM's name in the credits to my earlier post. She's down as "Psychiatric Patient".

Thanks RichE, I wish there was more of her in this movie. I had to do a double take, the scene is so short..

Meant to add for those that are interested:
KM's scene is just over 40 minutes in according to my DVD. Melvin (Jack Nicholson) is visting his psychiatrist, as he leaves we see him go through the waiting room. It's down as chapter 8 (on this disc, YMMV), but it is right at the very end of it so you might be better to go to the next chapter and rewind 30 seconds.

I have the DVD somewhere, I wonder what she magazine she was reading. What year was this flimed ?? It's down as a 1997 movie so it could have largely been film in 1996. IMDbSeeing as all the people in the waiting room were likely to be jobbing actors, she was probably reading Variety (or some other trade paper) looking for auditions to go on. You really can't make it out though.
