Manny: Nick Wechsler
*He was a despicable person, but the performance is what counts and he was convincing. I have a habit of feeling sorry for many killers on this show. But this guy is one of the few exceptions.

HONOR
Carl: John Allsopp
*This is one of those unforgettable victims. He played the part of a former P.O.W. perfectly. He also got the "man in self-torment" part down as well. What he did really messed with his head. He also gave one of the few truly best final scene performances.

ONE NIGHT
John Doe (2006): Zeljko Ivanek
*Much as what he did was horrible, you can't help but feel sorry him and root for him to do the right thing in the end. And his performance also allowed Lily some really good screen time.

*For some reason, this victim stands out. He played the part of an average Joe taxi driver trying out acting so well.

Admittedly I missed a couple of episodes this season but here are my picks:

A Perfect Day -Chris Stewart as Art Balducci (1965)- For what seems to have been his first TV role, he made a remarkable impression, giving us a character with courage, kindness, humor, and innocence-without-being-naive. Notice he also changed his voice slightly for most of his "just-off-camera" scenes at the beach so as to not make it too obvious that just yet that it was Art. He left me wishing we'd seen more of him in the episode. For this, I nominate Chris Stewart as Art Balducci (1965).

A Perfect Day -Ned Schmidtke as Art Balducci (2005)- It might seem a tad unfair to nominate two actors for the same character but the older Art is quite different than the brave young man we see in 1965. This Art is one whose heart was broken at an early age. He became disillusioned about being a cop years ago and has nothing better to do with his day than throw back drinks at a local pub. Talking about Cindy, the love of his life, is a painful subject that brings him to tears even forty years later. In the end he at least has a happy (if terribly late) reunion with Cindy on the beach at the end. For this, I nominate Ned Schmidtke as Art Balducci (2006).

Dog Day Afternoons -Paul Schulze as Phil: To me, he'll always by Ryan Chappelle from "24", but Phil left an impression on me. I'm usually disappointed when a character I like or identify with turns out to be the killer (not sure what that says about me) but this one was worth mentioning anyway. First starting out as a creep, then revealing that he really did care for Roween, leading to a tragic outcome. If Phil only hadn't been so darn passive, he and Roween might have had a future together. For this, I nominate Paul Schulze as Phil.

One Night -Zeljko Ivanek as John Doe (2006): Another actor I know best from his role on "24" (He was Andre Drazen back in season 1). Just as creepy here. For this, I nominate Zeljko Ivanek as John Doe (2006).

Joseph -Kenneth Johnson as Joseph: Oh, what the hell? He did leave an impression, didn't he? I know a few people are skeptical that Lily would fall for this guy, especially when she didn't even know he was still alive, but he did have an impact. For this, I nominate Kenneth Johnson as Joseph.

Honorable Mention:

Supertar Tom Wilson as Arnold Brown. Just because I never would have imagined seeing Biff Tannen on "Cold Case"! lol!
