The futoncritic posted something with a couple of Cold Case mentions or allusions to it. COLD CASE QUESTION: Nina, right here in the center. Your Sunday night schedule almost never runs when it's supposed to run. And during football season and your movie winds up running past 11:00, "60 Minutes" comes on. Has there ever been any thought to just shrinking the schedule during football season and then going back to -- you know, eliminating one of the shows, and then going "60 Minutes," "Cold Case, and then an hour long rather than the way you're doing it now? NINA TASSLER: We haven't talked specifically about that. Certainly the inconsistency of the football overruns and the impact of that on the schedule, sometimes we benefit from that, you know, in terms of our ratings. But clearly the impact on programming is something -- on our regular scheduled programming is something we're talking about. I mean, when you look at the Pope movie, for example, we started late because of the football over-runs that night, and clearly there is an impact. But we're looking at all of that and will be looking at all of that when we set next year's schedule. SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIES QUESTION: What's likely to happen during that stretch where you go against the "Super Bowl" and then three times against the Olympics on Sundays? NINA TASSLER: Well, we'll certainly be scheduling repeats. We'll be looking at some theatricals. But we'll be as competitive in the time period as we can. Geezzzzus!! It seems like that after tomorrows ep there won't be another one for weeks then!! That sucks big time!!! With season 3 having started in a lot of other countries, it seems they are gonna catch the US up pretty quickly. Here in the UK we are lucky enough to get a new ep every week. Does this happen to all shows in the US?? Or is messing around with the CC schedule a favourite pastime of CBS?

It happens to most shows sonny because the networks try to stretch 22 episodes (in our lucky case usually 23 episodes over a 8-month season. That's 32 weeks for only 22 episodes, so everything gets messed with. Overall, CC doesn't have it too bad considering what other shows go through (for instance Everwood aired it last episode in the beginning of Decemeber and won't return until March). Thanks for posting this a2z. CBS sure doesn't say much about CC, do they?

Interestingly enough, the Futon Critic had to take down that transcript because CBS requested that they no longer keep it online. Weird.
