I know but I'm not saying that people still can have hope, it's just my own personal opinion.

Heya everyone, how've ya been? It's been a while since I posted in this thread, but I'm still an L/S shipper unlike some people *everyone immediately looks at Lii2* So, lsr, glad to see you're back! I missed you! I have an idea about a L/S art, I am going to make a Sim family for them! They will be sooooooo cute! So, what do you think, everyone? How should it be? Kids? How many kids? What ages? I need your help with this family, I want to make it PERFECT! ;D I don't knowif any of you have ever noticed, but I have never made a long post. I only make short-medium length posts. I want a long post..... I'll make one tommorow, since its 12:30 AM here.... See ya, ~Gi

Yes indeed! There's a thread for his guest appearance over in the "Other Cast Members" section.

What if it's possible Scotty thinks of her as his own family in a sibling sense, but the writers had been tricking us all along to make us believe that he thought of her like he loved her like a lover?
They don't share the same chemistry as other characters from different shows( Mulder+ Scully) there's nothing that's indicated that they had have kind of relationship. Lilly doesn't look at Scotty like a love interest and never has, Not bashing " Shippers" you guys can talk amougst yourselves but at this point I think it's going to be Kat and Vera not Lilly and Scotty.

Lilly doesn't look at Scotty like a love interest and never has, Not bashing " Shippers" you guys can talk amougst yourselves but at this point I think it's going to be Kat and Vera not Lilly and Scotty. First off, what would the writers' motivation be to "trick" viewers? Where's the payoff? If you think Lilly has no romantic feelings for Scotty (and I agree) then what's the point? A big scene wherein Scotty sits Lil down and tells her he thinks of her as a friend/sister/something else platonic, and she says.... great? I mean, if neither has romantic feelings for the other, what in the bloody hell is the point of trying to (falsely) convey to viewers that one of them does? Neither will be let down when the "truth" is revealed. "Awesome. We're on the same page. How 'bout that case?" I guess I just don't see why you keep posting the same thing over and over, with slightly different wording, LII. There haven't even been new episodes since you decided you were not a shipper anymore. Prior to the switch you were doing the same exact thing but with pro-shipper sentiment. As you say, everyone is entitled to their opinion - but yours did a 180 for no reason that you've chosen to share and you seem to feel the need to re-state your position over and over. There's a bit of condescension in your tone, as well - as if you just don't get how anyone can possibly disagree with you (when two months ago, you yourself disagreed with your current position). It may not be your intention, but when you continue to repeat yourself with no provocation each time someone else posts anything, it comes across as rude. Your posts in this thread do not make for intelligent discussion, or any kind of discussion for that matter - there's only so many times you can say the same thing. To my knowledge, you've never stated why your mind changed. That might be an interesting discussion. Did you re-watch a particular episode and pick up something new in the dialogue, a gesture, etc? Clearly, you are under no obligation to justify your position. But it's bizarre to me that you keep posting over and over ad nauseum that you think they're "like siblings," yet when new episodes were actually airing you thought the complete opposite - and you've not bothered to say what changed your mind. You seem pretty passionate about it, but there appears to be no rhyme or reason behind your thought process. Once again, you owe no one any explanation. But the 180 makes no sense without clarification, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is interested. Furthermore, if you're just going to repeat the same thing (seemingly) without taking others' responses into consideration, then you're talking to yourself - which to me does not seem conducive to posting on a discussion board.

Everyone, please read the first page of this thread where I welcomed lsr and her shipper thread in acknowledgement that the thread was to be for those in favor of this particular pairing.
--------
Re: Scotty&Lilly « Reply #11 on May 10, 2007, 1:49pm » First let me apologize to lsr. She started this thread to celebrate Lilly and Scotty and for shippers to dialog. I know there aren't many here. Maybe they need to come out of lurkdom.
----------
Since this thread was called to my attention and I initially set the tone for the thread, I felt I should say something. I must say I haven't read all 50 pages of this thread (yet) so let's just get the thread back to discussing the official pairing for those who enjoy Lilly/Scotty and if there are any changes for this thread I'm sure one of the ADMINS will chime in.

Naj (and LSR) - I apologize if I was (or am) off topic - I realize this is not "about" the characters per se, but it is about the general tone of this thread. I have to say, as a non-shipper, I have enjoyed posting and having discussions in this thread. I hope the fact that I'm not a shipper does not disqualify me from posting here. I thought that had been clarified many months ago, but now I'm unsure. Regardless, I voiced my opinion on what I felt to be a disruption, and I don't think said disruption has anything at all to do with which side of the shipper coin you fall on, so to speak. I personally have little to add to any shipper discussion as of now, in part because we have no new eps, and in part because my nemesis LSR seems to be MIA again. LSR, where are you? ? Mr. Pukey wants to come out and play... ;D

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but I personally have enjoyed the discussions/debates/etc. that we've had in this thread. I think as long as the discussions/debates are articulate, well-thought-out, and respectful of the fact that others may not agree, then it's fine to discuss the "ship," with shippers and non-shippers alike. And I do vaguely remember discussing the inclusion of non-shippers in this thread a few months ago, too, and it was decided that Those Who Have Not Yet Seen The Light are more than welcome. I agree, yankee, disruptions are disruptions, whether you're a shipper or not, and regardless of what sort of discourse is going on in the thread, disruptions are going to...well...disrupt it. As they do. On a side note, I miss lsr AND Mr. Pukey. The new season better get here quick.

I saw "Mamma Mia!" Today, and I heard a song that would please all of you L/S shippers out there. I picture Lilly and Scotty singing it.
Here you all are: Amanda Seyfried and that one dude singing "Lay All Your Love On Me"

This thread was set up to give "shippers" a place to discuss their views.
I don't think anyone minds some non-shipper views being brought in as part of that discussion. Even shippers will be see aspects of the show that go against their wishes for the characters, Scotty's relationship with Christina being a good example in this area.
However, all discussion (and it should be a discussion, not a series of statements) kept polite and in done in the spirit of the original purpose of the thread.
If you feel there is a problem in a thread please bring it to the attention of a moderator or admin.

So, how about that UST between Scotty and Lilly, pretty intense, huh? I know, it can be a bit intense can't it I'm not necessarily convinced that they'll ever be together though. That whole business with between Scotty and Lilly's sister, Christina, is a complication. A bit like when Christina stole a boyfriend of Lilly's many years ago. I don't think Lil's forgiven her for that even after all this time.

It's definitely a complication, no doubt about it. It's not insurmountable, though. Lilly has clearly not forgiven Christina for what happened with Patrick, and I highly doubt she'd ever forgive Chris for Scotty, either. But she and Scotty have repaired things, at least as far as their partnership/friendship is concerned, and I think that if things between them were to progress, they could potentially work through it. It'd take some doing, but I think it could be managed.
