"Don't Tell Me" - Avril Lavigne -- if only for the final line: I'm better off alone anyway. While we're on the topic of Avril songs, I've always thought that "Nobody's Home" was sort of a sad commentary on Lil's life. Lyrics: I couldn't tell you Why she felt that way She felt it everyday I couldn't help her I just watched her make The same mistakes again What's wrong, what's wrong now Too many, too many problems Don't know where she belongs Where she belongs (Chorus) She wants to go home but nobody's home That's where she lies broken inside No place to go, no place to go To dry her eyes broken inside Open your eyes (open your eyes) And look outside Find the reason why (why) You've been rejected (you've been rejected) And now you can't find What you left behind Be strong, be strong now Too many too many problems Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs (Repeat Chorus) Her feeling she hides Her dream she can't find She's losing her mind She's fallen behind She can't find her place She's losing her faith She's fallen from grace She's all over the place (yeah!) (Repeat Chorus) She's lost inside, lost inside (oh, oh uhh) She's lost inside, lost inside (oh, oh uhh) oooh How ironic, TVFan ... I posted this song, too (back on Page 1). We agree again.

I feel so dumb because I now remember that you posted this back then, LillyKat. Me thinks I should be re-reading threads such as these before posting next time. Too funny that we both find the song so perfect for Lil.

True, that is a great song. What about Avrils' Too Much To Ask? Anyone heard the lyrics for that?
"Too Much To Ask" Its the first time I ever felt this lonely I wish someone could cure this pain Its funny when you think its gonna work out Til you chose weed over me, you're so lame I thought you were cool until the point But up until the point you didnt call me When you said you would I finally figured out youre all the same Always coming up with some kind of story
Everytime I try to make you smile You're always feeling sorry for yourself Everytime I try to make you laugh You can't Youre too tough You think you're loveless Is that too much that I'm asking for?
I thought you'd come around when I ignored you So I thought you'd have the decency to change But babe, I guess you didn't take that warning 'Cause I'm not about to look at your face again
Can't you see that you lie to yourself You can't see the world through a mirror It wont be too late when the smoke clears 'Cause I, I am still here
But everytime I try to make you smile You'd always grow up feeling sorry for yourself Everytime I try to make you laugh You stand like a stone Alone in your zone Is it too much that I'm asking for? *+*+*+*+*
Well, bits and peices anyways.

"Ain't no love", David Gray, so beautiful.
Maybe that it would do me good If I believed there were a god Cut in the starry firmament But as it is that's just a lie And I'm here eating up the boredom On an island of cement Give me your ecstasy I'll feel it Open window and I'll steal it Baby like it's heaven sent
This ain't no love that's guiding me
Some days i'm bursting at the seams With all my half remembered dreams And then it shoots me down again I feel the dampness as it creeps I hear you coughing in your sleep Beneath a broken window pane Tomorrow girl i'll buy you chips A lollipop to stain your lips And it'll all be right as rain
(Chorus)
On winter trees the fruit of rain Is hanging trembling in the branches Like a thousand diamond buds And waiting there in every pause That old familiar fear that claws you Tells you nothing ain't no good Then pulling back you see it all Down here so laughable and small Hardly a quiver in the dirt
This ain't no love that's guiding me

Awesome Song! I Love It Too! I Think It Fits Perfectly! So I think: Hide & Seek by Imogen Heap (I absolutely looooove this song) Lyrics are a little... abstract but I think by the end it's about a broken relationship. I think. That's what I get from it anyway... Where are we? What the hell is going on? The dust has only just began to form Crop circles in the carpet Sinking, feeling Spin me around again And rub my eyes This can't be happening When busy streets A mess with people Would stop to hold Their heads heavy Hide and seek Trains and sewing machines All those years They were here first Oily marks appear on walls Where pleasure moments hung before The takeover The sweeping insensitivity of this still life Hide and Seek Trains and sewing machines (you won't catch me around here) Blood and Tears They were here first Hmm, what'd you say, mmm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did. Hmm, what'd you say? mmm, that it's all for the best? Of course it is. Hmm, what'd you say? mmm, that it's just what we need You decided this? Hmm, what'd you say, mmm, what did she say? Random notes keep falling out your mouth Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs Speak no feeling, no I don't believe you You don't care a bit, you don't care a bit (Hide and Seek) Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs Speak no feeling, I don't believe you (Hide and Seek)[carries on through rest of song] You don't care a bit, you don't care a, you don't care a bit Oh no, You don't care a bit Oh no, You don't care a bit Oh no, You don't care a bit You don't care a bit

I think this song would fit perfectly.
Stabbing Westward - "Save Yourself."
I know your life is empty And you hate to face this world alone So you're searching for an angel Someone who can make you whole I cannot save you; I can't even save myself. So just save yourself (save yourself)
I know that you've been damaged your soul has suffered such abuse but I am not your savior I am just as f**** as you (I am just as f**** as you)
I can not save you; I can't even save myself. So just save yourself.
Please don't take pity on me. Please don't take pity on me. Please don't take pity on me. Please don't take pity on me. Please don't take pity on me.
my life has been a nightmare. my soul is fractured to the bone so if I must be lonely I think I'd rather be alone... (I think I'd rather be alone)
you cannot save me you can't even save yourself. I cannot save you...I can't even save myself. Save yourself So just save yourself.

Hmmm how about this for heart-broken love?
"Love is Something" by MoZella
Sometimes I cant let go, Sometimes I move to slow, I sware It's not a show, I don't know if I'm tired or crazy, Or If my blood sugar is dangurously low.
Sometimes I talk to loud, But you got to hear me out, You never need to doubt, I've never been so fragile, Now that's all I'm all about.
(Say you wont) Stay away. (Say you will) Trust me.
I didn't see it coming, I've been so used to running, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Forgive me if I'm crying, I'm tired of denying, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Never known before...
So hard to say the things that want to, but I will, I feel so open wide that it's pathetic, It's silly to believe something are meant to be, But nothing will ever be if we don't let it.
(Say you will) See me back that way. (Say you wont) Lose your faith.
I didn't see it coming, I've been so used to running, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Forgive me if I'm crying, I'm tired of denying, Love is something that, I've never known before.
I grew up on my own, Spent so much time alone, That it's taken me awhile, To let somebody in, Show them where I've been, And so whoa.
You know I want you near me, My dreams are vivid and I, Cant see anything but you so clearly.
(Say you will) Always be there. (Say you wont) Fade away.
I didn't see it coming, I've been so used to running, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Forgive me if I'm crying, I'm tired of denying, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Someday were gonna be married, And I know were gonna be happy, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Forgive me if I'm crying, I'm tired of denying, Love is something that, I've never known before.
Never known before...

Alright, I think the song 'Sideways' by Citizen Cope is abso-freakin-lutely amazing. His voice... *melts*.
Lyrics; You know it ain't easy For these thoughts here to leave me There's no words to describe it In French or in English Well, diamonds they fade And flowers they bloom And I'm telling you These feelings won't go away They've been knockin' me sideways They've been knockin' me out lately Whenever you come around me These feelings won't go away They've been knockin' me sideways I keep thinking in a moment that Time will take them away But these feelings won't go away
And also Lose Myself by Lauryn Hill. I think Lil's in the middle ground of it. I absolutely love this song!
I used to do it for the love a long time ago And all I ever wanted was love I used to love without fear a long time ago And all I ever wanted was love Then somebody came around and tried to hurt me Tried to make me feel like I was unworthy Took a pure love and tried to make it dirty Truth was they never did deserve me No!
Chorus: I had to lose myself so I could love you better I had to lose myself, had to lose myself so I could love you better Had to lose myself, had to lose myself So I could love you better Had to lose myself in love And that’s just the way it is…
Couldn’t tell me I was love when I needed it When, all I ever wanted was love. Should a told me just me because! I’m worth receiving it But all I ever wanted was love There’s is something awkward about the selflessness it takes to Give love and the good that it makes you! True love can never really forsake you But it took a little while just for me to see!

@jambled: I totally love it and I included the lyrics on a new wallpaper. The Editors have a knack for great songs and I think Push Your Head Towards the Air is a Lilly-esque song.
Btw, I love the colouring of your icon.

Haha my favourite breakup song (totally requires karaoke, margaritas and a few best friends!) ... Sisters are doing it for themselves! By the eurythmics. Hell yeah.
