Season premiere . . . . . . . . . . I'm happy for Lilly. She has someone to lay her head on at night. Ah shucks. I don't know if it will last but that's okay. I didn't see any cats around. I was very shocked at her boldness in the bedroom. But I don't feel we need to see more. I'm glad they aren't going that far.

I'm personally Satisified with the two of them together!!

Very, very, very happy for Lil'. This was the highlight of the Season Premiere for me - the Lilly/Joseph stuff. Seeing her with a guy who truly understands who she is - and does not fear it, worry about it, try and change it - was so great. She deserves to be happy, be a woman, be in love and STILL be the top homicide cop on the block. She was ALL these things in "Rampage."

It's great seeing this new side to Lil and to see her happy in love, but I predict a tragic ending to Joseph. The producers will not allow Lil to have a long term relationship, and the end has to be dramatic, probably will occur around a sweeps week.

I'm happy for her as well. I liked the cute way she apologized for having to cut their little moment short and run off to work. And from what she said before she left, I'm sure she made it up to him when she got back. Speaking of that, I'm not sure whether I was surprised or not. I mean, she's in control in the interview room, why not the bedroom? I think it actually has more to do with the nature of her relationship with Joseph. Obviously, some time has passed since the season finale, and they have gotten to know each other better. She feels very comfortable with him, comfortable enough to be as forward as she was in that scene. I think it speaks highly of their relationship.

It's funny, TVFan ... and I think I posted this to Naj in another thread ... I guess I'm one of the few (?) who always thought Lilly WOULD be the one in control in the bedroom. I can't really speak as to why I feel this way, though. LOL! I guess it's just my instinct and/or how I perceive the character. She's too strong of a woman to be timid behind closed doors. She seems to have a sexier side to her that we don't usually get to see ... factor in that she's with a guy she seems to be pretty crazy about at the moment, it sort of allows that side to come out in grand fashion, I think. Rock on, Lilly.

LillyKat, I was wondering about the whole TV time progression thing; in the opening scene she's apparently still in the doghouse with Stillman so I don't think there has been a huge amount of time since the end of that case. Call me old-fashioned but somehow I think you'd throw in a dinner or movie first before going all sex-kitten. Presumably, the writers have left that to our imaginations or in the interest of a 44-minute script decided to dispense with the preliminaries. Nevertheless, it's good to see Lilly in a happy relationship no matter how long it lasts. Need to flesh out the Joseph character a bit more (not literally!).

Nevertheless, it's good to see Lilly in a happy relationship no matter how long it lasts. Need to flesh out the Joseph character a bit more (not literally!). Hi jazzyb ... so true! I guess, for me (and I think the writers want us to assume this), that there has already been the dinner and a movie thing due to the fact she was so comfortable with Joseph in the bedroom. And that he was there in what would seem to be a regular pattern. Perhaps there was time spent out at the farm between the two before transitioning to Lilly's place. Perhaps Lilly was told to take some time off and/or was suspended / put on desk duty after the case due to her actions. Maybe this was for several weeks / couple of months, and the story picked up as she was just back on the beat with guys (with Vera kind of quizzing her; Stillman still kind of sore about the whole thing). Don't really know. But yes, I think the writers have skipped over this technicality to get the relationship beyond the get-to-know-you-phase and get Lilly into a happier space. I would like to see Joseph fleshed out (no pun intended!), too. Hopefully we'll get a little bit more to work with over the next couple of eps.

Just a warped thought; does Joseph have a j-o-b? He plays dead for a year evidently earning no income while living on a ramshackle farm. Now we fast forward to Lilly's bedroom where he's getting , er , um, "comfortable" and I wonder again, how does this man earn a living? From a practical standpoint, it's an essential question of the boyfriend if he's poised to share your living space. I really don't think you can play possum for a year then show up at your old job as if nothing happened. But, of course, this is TV-land so anything is possible.

Good for Lilly! Everyone should have the change to be crazy, beyond reason, out of their mind for someone else, at least once.
Let's not go for perfection though. It makes for boring tv.

Good question and I was wondering if he's staying with her or was he just over for the evening? I noticed his big hunky upper arms. Anyone see them?

Yeah I'm happy for Lil. Why are people getting so freaked out about the bedroom scene..? I think they looked cute together and the whole scene showed that their relationship is really working, otherwise than that thing with Kite did. I think Lilly looked hot while she was in control .... Anyway, hopefully this will be going on for a while and if/when it ends it better end for some really good reason!!!! Only thing Lilly should learn to do in future is to keep her job out of private life (for now on she has just keep her private life out of work)... means turning her cell off. Bye to way, the jeans she wore after that Vera's call, she should wear those more often. Looked good on her....

I think Lilly feels a lot calmer being with him then kite, it's much more relaxed and he doesn't feel like her job is interferring with their relationship.

Re: Joseph and a job ... I believe he is still working with troubled teens, etc. It's possible he could've gotten work with another organization after the case cleared / no longer had to live in fear of his life. He did truly enjoy that line of work, and there's no reason to think that he's not still a counselor.

You really can see how much Happier Lilly is at the end, unlike last season where she looked like she wanted to break down and cry. Her eyes once sad now are glowing with love, Joseph really has a good affect on her. I'm glad he is in her life.
