Kite was sooo first season, and that NYPD detective was way too intimidated by her seniority, but how about a nice, normal guy for Lil? Do you want to see her find someone this season? And if so, what type of man would you try to hook our dear Lil up with if you were her matchmaker? Any specific occupation?

Haha, Sonny knows my opinion on this. YES! I want Lily to find someone. And not just a guy who is going to be around for a few episodes and then like "vanish" or something. He's gotta be in for the long haul! As for specifics, I guess I'd want it to be a nice, normal guy. I know it's kind of (really) vague. But, just a *nice* guy.
I guess I'd prefer for it NOT to be a fellow detective or cop, but I wouldn't complain if it was. As long as he's someone who'd understand her "connection" to the job, and (c'mon) he'd have to like her cats!

Well Lilly never does anything but work. She'd have to meet them someplace like the grocery store or picking up her mom's meds. How about a pharmacist?  Still waiting for that off time bar-b-que when the whole gang gets together. Wonder what they'd talk about. ;D Maybe it could be the Philly PD bar-b-que and she'd meet someone there. ;D |

I would be ok with her dating another cop as long as he doesn't work with her at all. Maybe someone from a different precinct. I could also see her with a dedicated doctor, someone who understands a demanding job. Like Soccerulz, I don't want it to be someone who only lasts a few episodes. We've been there and done that. I'd like to have this person bring out a different side of Lilly, something less business-like. Kite was never really able to do that because she never got to a point where she was ready to trust him and open up completely. I want her to meet someone who makes "Patrick" nothing more than a distant memory! :smile43:

I wouldn't mind so much if he were a cop but he would have to be based somewhere else. A doctor, yes, maybe. A lawyer or another ADA would be good. Like Soccer and TVFan said, someone who understands what her job means to her and someone who can just love her forever for who she is.  |

Oh man, until you mentioned that I thought the vet idea was really good  . Well, no surprise to anyone that I'm not at all in a hurry for Lilly to get into a relationship--but if she were to, I'd like her to date a good-looking guy with a traditional family and no baggage on the side. Someone who wouldn't be cocky or try to change her, but just accept her for who she is and make her happy... and not mess up the show with his own befuddled life dramas. I don't really care what he does for a living as long as he's not working under the same roof. |

He could ask to another vet (co-worker, maybe) if it's hard for him to do it... Geez, sukkerspinn, why are you killing Olivia and Tripod?? They're sooooo sweet (and I'm not a cat person). This reminds me of that story she told on the Letterman show last year! There goes Tripod into the freezer right next to the Lean Cuisine! Yeah, well, Ju, I'm just realizing the fact that no one, not even cats, can live forever. At some point they have to go too.. I understand... I picture Lilly with a blue-collar guy. With Kite it was like a union of two very smart, competitive people, and it didn't work. I see Lil with a construction worker type of guy-- someone she's not going to be competitive with, but at the same time he's got his own thing going so he's not going to be intimidated by her. He'll be smoother, and more easy going than she is.

Mark Phillips WAS cute, but there was no chemistry between them. I dunno if they did it on purpose, but you can just see sparks flying in their scenes--and not the good kind! I liked their time together. Gimme a little conflict over love anyday . |
