What character would you like Kathryn to play? Maybe a bad girl? I don't remember seeing her as a bad girl... :>

I would live to see her in any romantic comedy. She just seems so perfect for that type of movie. I guess it's her inherent cuteness.

Haha, maybe Kathryn with a chainsaw or a hook in the next part of "I Know What You Did Last Summer"?

I wouldn't mind seeing Kathryn in a more physically demanding role, although I don't have anything specific in mind. :smile43:

I could see her doing something like that ;D I'll ditto you two!! She hasn't really been in that kind of role [unless you include Role of a Lifetime??]. Mindhunters was all action, in Minority Report, well she was just a wife and in Paycheck she was....uh... a slut??!!! As long as the role was challenging and showed her to her best potential anything goes really. Oh hell, I'd watch her in anything, after all I bought Sleepstalker!!!

I'd like two see her in 2 entirely different roles:
1. As a psycho or raving lunatic--crazy, weird, and essentially mean.
2. As a belle époque lady in some big-screen version of a classic...
I just think she could pull both of them off really well, and we'd never ever remember she's Lilly Rush.

Has any one seen "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind"? I'd love to see her in a role like that... And anything Meryl Streep Would have taken at her age would do it for me....

I think I can picture KM in almost any role. She has so many various sides to her acting skills. Like the loony mother she played in some eps of "Providence". Or an "Erin Brockovich"-kinda role. The one thing that I just CAN'T picture her in, is a "stupid-blonde" role, comedy style. Like a Cameron Diaz-role or something.

I'd also love to see her in a 1920s or 40s setting. Some sort of classic work of literature brought to life. I can see her playing a different era very well. She'd be great in something like a remake of The Maltese Falcon or any Hitchcock remake.

agree with you, sukkerspinn, no stupid blonde roles please, although I can hardly imagine she would agree on doing some "american pie."....

Why not even the stupid blond? If it's well written I wouldn't mind. But perhaps a stupid brunette would be better? ;D
Kathryn Morris had already played quite different roles, good, tough or bad girl and even the more crazy one. Yeah, she did play the bad girl ewka, in Xena, Inferno, Paycheck, and The Hire: Hostage. Thinking of Hostage, something like that I would like to see her play again. A romantic comedy? Could be nice too - as long as they doesn't make her look like a second Meg Ryan.

I wouldn't mind her in a romantic comedy or dumbblonde movie ONCE. She has a pretty good comedy spirit so I think she'd do a good job. Just as long as they don't do it ALL the time...

Mmm... I don't. It wouldn't be scary at all for me if she played in a movie like The Ring. I am always worring about her characters and ring is the only film that scared the hell out of me... I couldn't focus on the plot

She can't turn into a Meg Ryan. :smile44: I'd like to see KM playing the main character on a deep drama role, something like "Sophie's choice" or "The Color Purple".

Ahh, I must see it again ;] And what do you mean by saying they'd make her look like Meg Ryan? ewka - Kathryn Morris plays the hostage, but oh my, she turns out to be the real cruel one in the end. And when I think of comedy + romantic + cute + blond I can't help but to think of Meg Ryan. It's easy to get trapped in a certain type of role. And I think if Kathryn Morris plays such a role, she might be compared with Meg Ryan, as dump as it might be.

Wow, there's a lot of Meg Ryan hate on this thread! I know what you guys mean about those types of roles, though. The actresses who play them do tend to get caught in them for awhile. I still think she'd be great at it, though.
