TV Guide magazine does a weekly Cheers and Jeers section in its print edition. In the latest edition (June 5-11th), they give a Cheer to CC! CHEERS to Cold Case for a refreshingly warm twist. The often-grim CBS crime drama wrapped up its third season with chronically single Philly detective Lilly Rush (Kathryn Morris) making a love connection with a troubled-teens counselor (Kenneth Johnson) whom she'd mistakenly thought had been murdered. Since Johnson's character on The Shield, Det. Curtis "Lem" Lemansky, really did get killed off, we're hoping he'll come back to heat up Cold Case next season.This bodes well for the show and Joseph's return! A major TV publication wants him back too!  |

What made the mention even sweeter is that the rest of the issue talks about the cliched finale stunts that so many shows pull every finale season, and I was thinking that CC never resorts to using them. And then I get to the Cheers & Jeers page and see this positive endorsement of CC's finale. Yay! Way to go CC staff!! |

I agree with you DF that the finale was somewhat cliched... but then again, they're opening up Lilly to more possibilites. It might be interesting to see where they take it, should the writers choose to incorporate Joseph into future seasons.

Maybe Joseph and Kite will duke it out with each other in Season Four...and Scotty will join in because he simply likes punching people.  Meanwhile, McRay comes up in his Harley and swoops Lilly away while the three of them weren't watching..... ;D |

Ha ha ha.... Well, Scotty already got his "third wheel" moment with McRay, and he's probably interested in seeing who this guy is that Lilly "called in sick" for.... Maybe Vera, Stillman, and even Jeffries might join in. Jeffries has a mean right hook!!  |
