In case anyone didn't know, the Screen Actors Guild Awards are this Sunday, where the actors and actresses vote for each other...anyways, I checked the nominations and Cold Case is nowhere to be found, not in Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series , or Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The nominees in those categories all were similar to CC, like Law and Order, and The Closer, but evidently they snubbed Lily and her crew... :smile7: :smile23:

The only positive thing I can think of is maybe KM will show up to the awards show...

What annoys me about The Closer is that is has some similar things to CC, but everyone acts like it's some novel idea! It also annoys me that Kyra Sedgwick (who I do like) gets so much attention for headlining her own crime show when Kathryn has been doing so for three seasons! I guess its Kyra's name recognition, but it drives me crazy. :smile12: Kathryn is severely underrated.

*shrugs* Yeah it sucks that they don't get a nomination, but I don't think much about awards anyway.
Interesting that only one CBS-Show gets a nomination (as far as I've seen). Maybe coincidence.

Yea, I agree about the Kyra getting the attention bit but then those from CC took the show away from the central premise of the character driven Lilly. I find it perplexing and irritating. The character Lilly is very interesting. And I too get annoyed about The Closer being so great. But then I don't watch it caue I don't get the channel. Doubt I would if I did get the channel anyway. Me too, V. I haven't seen it either, so maybe it wouldn't irritate me on the actual show, but the previews grate on my nerves.

Well, that's a bummer, but I wasn't really expecting anything. Those awards show have a logic of their own... Sure there are many quality shows on TV but I don't get why some get all the nominations and awards and why others simply don't.
