hello everyone! I have a question especially for us people: is there a way for us fans to influence the emmys decisions? I mean would there be a way, an address, something , the we could use to make the decision makers aware of the quality od CC and above all the amazing talent of Kathryn? what are your opinions? It would be great if we could do something, I think it is very unfair that CC is hardly noticed by the professionals...SIGH

Yeah, it's completely up to those in the industry. It's a known fact that those who get to vote in the Emmys basically vote for their peers and/or shows/performances that they have heard are good since most of them don't have the time to watch the medium they work in. Also, I have heard that some of these voters are actually the industry types' staff because they are too busy to fill out the ballots. Don't know how wide spread that is, though.

That really is kinda pathetic, TVFan. I'd still love for CC to get some sort of recognition, but the Emmys sound a bit like a fraude.

A lot of critics consider them to be a joke as well DF. It's annoying though, because they're still the gold standard for television programming. Awards like the Peabodys and the Television Critics Association are a lot more meaningful, but they don't carry the same weight, unfortunately.
