Hard question, Naj. Anyway I don't think Kat Miller's a bad choice.She's about as different from KM as they come, so it makes her look less like a "clone". Now if she would only have a personality all of her own, it would be great. But what do I know since I haven't actually seen her do anything in any episodes.

No one. I know it's a stupid answer, but I don't think any other woman belongs in the Homicide squad. It spoils a special part of the show for me - being someone who's usually the only girl in a group of friends, I liked seeing that on CC.

Tati... I agree. My answer was only in case it was impossible not to chuck someone in. I'm also the only girl lots of times, and I enjoyed that. Though Lilly's being single and work-involved is probably more of a special part of the show for me...

I guess I didn't make my post clear? I'm saying because they insist upon another detective, if you could have chosen the actor for the part, who would you have chosen. It's obvious by now that fans didn't want another full time detective but (unless she gets killed in the line of duty  ) she is here for now. So who would you choose as an actor to join the show. |

I haven't really thought of anyone because I wasn't expecting another woman to be added. I guess it would be best to have someone more unknown like who they have chosen. (at least she's unknown to me - so was SB). Sometimes it's best that way. I'm curious as to who they offered the role to initially and who all auditioned for it. I'd love to have that list. :smile43:

I guess I'd stick with Tracie because as disasterfreak pointed out, she's very different from Kathryn. I hope they flesh out her personality a little more, though, because I'm not really sure what to think of her yet.

Are you guys saying that Tracie Thoms is different from Kathryn or that Kat Miller is different from Lilly Rush?
I don't know enough of TT to say that she's different from KM. Personally, I haven't warmed up to her character just yet, but I'm getting there. All in all, if I had to chose an actress to be part of the show, I'd have to go with Carla Gugino. I loved her in Karen Sisco.

I was refering to the two actresses and their respective acting styles. The characters are also quite different, but we haven't seen enough of Kat to truly know her yet IMO.
