I just noticed this Naj, so sorry for not responding earlier. The reason why advertisers want that age group is because they (18-49 year olds) spend the most money on products (disposable income). They are also the least likely to be set in their buying ways, and therefore, more easily influenced by advertising. The fact that they don't watch a lot of television makes them even more valuable because the advertisers want to grab their attention during the few programs they do watch. I hope that somewhat clears it up.  |

Just a thought, as this is a ratings thread, but next season, if there are going to be Sunday night football games on NBC, that might hurt CC's ratings...as if football hasn't done enough damage to CC...

Considering what all was going on Sunday on the networks, Cold Case held it's own. That's basically a season 1 rating. Final numbers are in. |

I totally agree Naj. I was expecting much worse. It was good to see that it landed in second for its timeslot too. I know people talk about how when a show takes a several week break, it has a difficult time finding its audience when it returns, but it seems that CC did just fine. |

Not a bad showing for Sanctuary. Considering the big Sopranos premiere on Sunday night, it's good that CC people still remembered to tune in to CBS.

I posted the overnight ratings, but they are very preliminary. I'll try to update them if I get better numbers. I can't believe CC lost in the 9 p.m. hour to a DH rerun! Bummer! ETA: I found some more accurate numbers, so hopefully these will stick. They bode better for the show! |

I agree I haven't even bothered with the 2nd season and I believe it's loosing viewers here in the UK. It just started getting beyond stypid towards the end of last season and I wasn't finding the jokes funny any more. I'd rather sit through a 'chippy' invaded episode than DH! |
