I was researching some trivia for a fic I wanted to write and this was one of the sites that was listed where I could get my answer. Sadly, the fic died before it because because of episode chronology. *sigh*

Sadly, the fic died before it because because of episode chronology. *sigh* Aww... it's always a shame when chronology or other little canon things mess up a fic idea, especially if it's something you've otherwise got neatly planned out; I've been struck down by those issues once or twice myself, but there are usually ways around them... depending on the nature of the problem of course. Is there, maybe, any way you can maybe re-work the plot of the fic just a little bit, so the chronology thing isn't too big an issue? Maybe just shuffle the setting a little, or even make it pseudo-AU? Not sure what your idea is, naturally, so it's hard to throw out specific suggestions (assuming I wouldn't be overstepping a line by doing so; feel free to tell me if I am!)... but it always seems like a shame to let a decent fic idea die, especially if it's one you're looking forward to writing. *...hushes now...*

You're allowed to rewrite history, you know. ETA: Or, just...read what Collider just wrote and do that.

It could be reworked, I just wouldn't feel as happy/giddy about it. *le sigh*
It was mostly disappointing because it was my first fic idea for Cold Case. I'm sure I'll get more. In fact, I did have another one, just need to follow through.

It could be reworked, I just wouldn't feel as happy/giddy about it. *le sigh* Perfectly understandable. Things always lose a touch of specialness when you see holes in them, however small they may be. It was mostly disappointing because it was my first fic idea for Cold Case. I'm sure I'll get more. In fact, I did have another one, just need to follow through. Heh! Follow-through is most definitely a good thing to have! If you find yourself in need of help or idea-bouncing or the like, though, feel free to hit me up; I'm not the most phenomenally useful person in the world, but gosh-darnit, I try. At any rate, welcome to the board!! Or, wait, did I say that already?
