A few more songs.
Lacuna Coil - "Heaven's a Lie"
Boingo - "Insanity" (of course they'd have to drastically edit it for length, but I think it could be done. Just remove the majority of the children's choir parts and you've cut 4 minutes from an 8 minute song.*)

I know this song is a little too modern to be used in cold case (seeing as it was released this year)....but i recon the song 'How Long' by The Veronicas could be used if Lilly & Joseph had a fight or something, or Lilly reflecting on her lonliness or something.
Anyone heard the song?
And how 'bout Bon Jovi's 'Living On A Prayer' for a Lilly/Ray soundtrack?

I'm with everyone else on Heaven Forbid by The Fray (doesn't that man's voice just make you want to lick his face? I mean really, it's freakin' awesome) and;
Dream On - Aerosmith The truth about cats & dogs (is that they die) - Metric what's in it for me - walkmen Lily two - Matt Pond PA blue eyes - cary brothers love burns - BRMC one crowded hour - augie march (I was in love with this song for so long) with or without you (U2 cover) - keane end up alone - nine days sleeping in the rain - postal service (love the lyrics to this song... there's a line that's; there was never any mystery, of who shot john f kennedy it was just a man with something to prove, slightly bored and severely confused, he steadied his rifle with the target in the centre, and became famous on that day in november.) float on - modest mouse bukowski - modest mouse long distance call - phoenix what do you want - gotye insomnia - electric president (this song is absolutely gorgeous)
omg, shut up. I could keep going for ages *sigh*.

I was in Vegas for the CES show last week. (The company I work for makes "boxes" for a computer company. LOL...) My fellow workers and I were lucky enough to receive tickets from our customer for Cirque du Soleil's "Love" that celebrated the Beatles' music. Gosh, it's been years since I've sat down and really listened to their work. Dunno if it would be expensive to get the Beatles' music for the show, but it would be nice to hear some of their stuff on Cold Case.

I'm not sure how the rights to the music work, but to my understanding, Sony and Michael Jackson have some say in all this. Both are having financial problems, so who knows?? Maybe they would cut a deal with Bruckheimer and Warner Brothers if approached?? Madonna already allowed "Live to Tell" to be used in 1.04 "Churchgoing People"...

I doubt Michael Jackson would give the rights for them to use their songs, but maybe if they a make deal that he couldn't refuse he might??

I doubt Michael Jackson would give the rights for them to use their songs, but maybe if they a make deal that he couldn't refuse he might?? Uhh... LII2, that's what licensing is all about--paying a royalty to use a song. It's not about giving up the rights to a song. BTW, back in 1987, Nike used The Beatles' song, "Revolution" in a television ad because Michael Jackson (the publishing rights holder), allowed them to. This was to the disappointment of hard-core Beatles' fans and also to Paul McCartney (who gets a percentage of the royalties, but doesn't have much say in the licensing/publishing rights). More info HERE. The price back then was $250K, but we all know that Michael Jackson needs money more nowadays than he did in the eighties....

Sorry about that, I misunderstood you Boxman.

Sorry about that, I misunderstood you Boxman. Well, the whole thing about The Beatles' music licensing is unusual and hard to comprehend anyway, so don't feel embarassed or anything about the misunderstanding. One would think the bandmembers and their families have the right to it, but that's not the case because of some weird circumstances...

They've yet to have a woman as all episode. How about Carly Simon?
