Any fans here? I was on Youtube listening to some music and ended up with a video of Bette and Tina. Anyhow, I think I'd like to learn more about them. Today I ordered Season 1. ;D I can't believe it - the shows been on four years now. But I always find things later.

A comedy of manners (bittersweet) of great quality. Beyond the principal theme "lesbian", a very beautiful series about the women, loveable characters where get involved several universal subjects, love, friendship, family…..The life word. I liked the first two seasons, on the other hand I am very very disappointed by the S3 at which I currently look at. It is a little… the lost word for me. I hope that season 4 will be better.

Hi frenchfan! I just got Season 1 in the mail today. You can watch all the clips of every season of Tinna/Bette at tibette.com. I've watched all of season two and three and just began season 4. I didn't watch the clips of season one but will watch the entire ep. I'm just rivited to Jennifer Beal's character. Hey Eurache, Check out all the clips. You can still see what's going on. I can't believe the sex scenes! I was totally caught off there. But I love the storyline....

I'm just rivited to Jennifer Beal's character. Bette is my favorite character, for me, the most complex and especially the one that knew the great and most beautiful evolution. Ambitious woman, impassioned, self-confident, she became more fragile, more sensitive, showing her weaknesses, after happening of S2. Totally vulnerable, and measuring how one moment of weakness can turn upside down your life. In season 3 (that I did not finish seeing) the "queen of ice" completely disappeared to make a way to a completely vulnerable and tortured Bette which seeks an interior balance and which in her attempt to reconquer Tina is absolutely deeply moving.

Hi frenchfan! Yes I love Bette too for her vulnerability. She's emotionally intelligent too - another quality I admire. As I'm now almost completed season 4 (still haven't watched the full season 1), I'm not sure I want Bette to get back with Tina. They've both grown so much but Tina isn't as interesting unless she's with Bette. Xena sidenote: I think I know where Renee O'Connor developed her new look after - Tina. Cybil Shephart is a howl! Was there a love scene for her that wasn't included in the TIBETTE clips? I'm not sure when I'll get to see season one but I plan to finish the Season 4 clips so that I'm 2 thru 4 completed on Tina/Bette.

Hi....honey, i'm here. ;D Passion, desire, love, sex, guilt, yep I liked this ep, even though I am shared. I like looking Bette and Tina, their evolution and interaction. I am always amazed with the particular chemistry among these two actresses. Bette and Tina are one of the reasons that make me love and watch this show. But I am not sure that I like the way how they reconnect, lie, cheating, this game of cat and mouse are not what I prefer. Though !!!!! But OMG, this scene in the kitchen was absolutely fabulous. I had never seen Bette also nervous and the sexual tension was so palpable. I'm not sure I want Bette to get back with Tina. They've both grown so much but Tina isn't as interesting unless she's with Bette. The reverse is also true, for me, season 4 is a good illustration, now, Tina makes Bette much sweeter, and finally less egocentric. I also really liked Tina in this season, and I am pleased that IC in the season 5 finally offered her a personality more assertive and independent. Now I wait the next ep and hope a true conversation between Ti-bette, Jo-bette, more than 2 or 3 sentences. Come on, ladies talk.

I like Tina much better in season 5 but I'd really like to see them talk too. Plus I'd like to see them change the way they make love. heh. ;D How would you have preferred they reconnected? I think IC wanted to build some drama with the cat and mouse approach. ;D

How would you have preferred they reconnected? I think IC wanted to build some drama with the cat and mouse approach. ;D To be honest I wonder since a half-season why Bette and Jodie are together, I think I would have probably preferred that Bette leaves Jodie before thinking about a possible reconnection with Tina. But I said though. And you’ re right, I like this loving triangle, I love drama, and who has never succumbed to the passion, to the desire, to the love throws me the 1-st stone, but I am just afraid that this game of the cat and the mouse lasts till the end of the season. Plus I'd like to see them change the way they make love. heh. ;D what, what, what you would like to see ? ............. ;D In fact if you looks well, and if my memory is correct there are very few love scenes between Bette and Tina (the last ep9 S2), and in 5x6, there are parallels between past scenes. Visibly IC decided to replay, in a little bit similar way, the scene of the pilot and the 1st scene has similarities with Bette-Candance sex scene. Coincidence, symbolic….

Yes, I agree about the Jodie relationship that it will probably stretch through the season. I don't like the sneaking around on her but they are!!!! I hope it doesn't go on too long but it probably will until Jodie catches them. Well there doesn't seem to be a balance. I mean I'm assuming IC wants to stick to her ideal of how lesbians make love but don't they just sit and hold each other and just kiss too? Geez... There's no characterization of that kind of intimacy. It's not always about the act. I don't really care for the style of love-making they show between tibette. I think they're sorta boring. LOL! Of course I realize they don't have twenty minutes to show a slow leadup to having sex either. Oh well.... Maybe that's what they should do - show a leadup and then fade out.

This was in interesting ep. (episode 6). What did you think of the Bette/Jodie scene? You mean ep 7 ? I did not see it yet (I wait for subtitles), but I saw this famous scene and the tibette scene before. Hope that my English retranscribes faithfully my thoughts, not sure. On the moment 2 reactions: Fu**, Bette what are you doing, what the hell, and you said you are in love. And Jodie why don’t you react she didn't look at that as unusual. It would make one think this has happened before, where there was a lack of surprise. Duh… That says. There were some moment of tenderness and complicity, but they were so rare, for me there is a relation based on power, domination, more than love among Jodie and Bette, even in their intimate relationships, and this scene is there really revealing, even though obviously for need of the drama to come, Jodie seems to be much sweeter and loving and especially totally blind of what is happening. But I have already said it I don’t manage to believe in this story. It is not the 1-st time that Bette uses sex to cope with her feelings, when she loses control (this scene is one of the hardest that I saw in this show with doubtless the scene among Bette and Tina in the end of S1) She is angry against herself, against Jodie who is not the one that she would want that she is, (doubtless she masturbates also at this moment there because she realizes that she is incapable to make love to Jodie) and she feels guilty and sad and she faces that in this way there. And what she’s doing to Jodie is totally horrible. But this scene shows the complete despair, angst in which is Bette, and the darkest side of her personality. Maybe more when I would have seen the ep.

Helloooo ladies!! I am a newly addicted fan of this show . I know I'm probably not suppose to be watching this show, but I like everything it represents. I hate religion getting in the way of true love. If people like other people of the same sex, then wth cares? It's nobody's business of who you have sex with or who you fall in love with. I love Shane and Carmen!!! *exits before Naj can see me* *poofs* ;D

The reaction on the tibette board about Bette/Jodie scene is as your reaction. Seriously can you tell me this is not normal at times in a relationship? The hardest scene for me was Bette/Tina sex scene after Tina found out Bette cheated on her. That was truly disturbing. This scene here in this ep didn't really bother me at all. But I'm in a rare minority on this one according to what I see posted on the L Word boards... This was in interesting ep. (episode 6). What did you think of the Bette/Jodie scene? You mean ep 7 ? The reaction on the tibette board about Bette/Jodie scene is as your reaction. Oh I'm in the majority, so rare. ;D Seriously can you tell me this is not normal at times in a relationship? OK, but then what's the point of that scene. This scene is hard because I give it a particular intention. If she has no particular meaning, this scene is useless, and effectively is not really disturbing. Just a sex scene without additional interest as there is often in this show. The hardest scene for me was Bette/Tina sex scene after Tina found out Bette cheated on her. That was truly disturbing. This scene here in this ep didn't really bother me at all. One of the rare scenes that I always have a lot of difficulty watching again. Helloooo ladies!! I am a newly addicted fan of this show . I know I'm probably not suppose to be watching this show Hi Why you say that ? Be careful Naj is here ;D

Where did you go? ;D How many seasons have you seen? So you like Shane? Shame on you!!!! j/k I'm catching up . I'm up to Season 4 so far. I said I like Shane and Carmen together xD. Not Shane, Carmen more =). To tell you the truth, I have a friend who's been watching this show since it first started, but I was asking her for any raunchy scenes on the "L Word" between a brunette chick with another brunette chick. That's when I got hooked, not by the raunchy scenes...I just needed those for a video. I might need some more scenes too for my next video, Brennan and Lilly. Brennally! There's a thread about that here somewhere.

I will jump in here and say that I just recently watched a couple of episodes of this show for the first time. I have no idea what season is currently airing on Showtime, but I think it's the latest one (would that be 5 or 6?) Interesting show ... can't say I'm overly into it, and I could do without the every-15-minute-go-at-it-sex-scenes that Showtime seems to specialize in (no matter WHAT the show). I guess I tend to be one for the less-is-more mentality (whether it's women, men, whatever), and I don't need to see it all hanging out, but hey, that's just me. And this IS premium cable, so alas, I have to deal. LOL! But there are some funny moments on the show, and the dialogue is really strong and good. The voice of each character is very distinct, very true. I guess I like Bette (Jennifer Beals) ... except she seems to be awfully serious at times, and a little overly-possessive-paranoid. Tina is cool too, though I think I just like the idea she's a film producer, so you get to see her wandering around the "pretend" set she's working on, giving orders, etc., or handling film production from the office. I like "seeing" that stuff when it's usually included on a DVD extra (behind the scenes, etc.), so to have a character who does that all the time is cool for the geek in me. In just reading this thread, I guess there is this whole Tina and Bette thing that had been going on/is going on, which would explain a few things for me ... "Tibette" ... that's a clever way of referring to it. All in all, not bad, but don't think I'll be adding it to my DVR list or DVD collection. It's sort of on the if-it's-on-I-might-watch-it list.
