Since there is no thread for the movie I decided to start one. Is there any other weirdo that enjoys the series of "Saws"? :> As I mentioned somewhere on the board I was in the cinema yesterday on a night movie marathon and it wa scalled "Night with Saw" and 4 movies were aired: "Saw", "Saw 2", "Saw 3" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning". The last one was really (I mean--really) boring and stupid too I guess. Coz there was no plot, just the monster with chainsaw and you could know the whole movie just by looking at the title... Anyways the other 3 movies were great. Seeing them one after another was a very good idea, because though I had seen 1 and 2 before I did not remember much of a plot which was important there.
I liked it very much, did anybody else?

I've seen all three, ewka! The entire series is utterly sinister and creepy, but a good thriller for those that like such movies. I don't think I've seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre... was it with that girl in 7th Heaven?

Ewka: Oh, I'm thinking of the one that came out in 2003... with Jessica Biel. So I didn't see Texas.. The Beginning! But I love horror movies as well as drama and comedy!
I'm the same, KathrynFan!! I like movies where the ending is something you'd never expect! That is why I loved the first Saw movie. The sixth sense is also one of those movies that stands out in my mind... I see dead people!! haha

Muahaha, you are both just as twisted as I am! I heard of people fainting in cinemas on "Saw 3", but I don't think it's thaaat scary, but the movie is definetely very cruel. KathrynFan, share your thoughts with us when you see the 3rd one!

I'm a big horror movie fan, so ... I love Saw. I think the whole premise is brilliant. But I'm sad to report I've only seen the first one. I need to get caught up and see the 2nd and 3rd installments - which I keep telling myself to do, but alas, still have not. LOL!

I am definitely planning on catching up. I would like to be able to watch the fourth installment this October IN the theatre as opposed to on DVD. LOL! I love how they continue to release a new one each year ... a great series.

I think so too, I read something about the shooting and it turns out to be quite cheap (for a movie that earns so much money!) and does not take so long to shoot!

Oh, I'm glad to hear there will be a fourth. I read that the producer, Hoffman, died while making Saw 3. So, I wasn't quite sure who would take over.
I think you're right ewka! Their budget is considerably cheaper than the average hollywood movie! I think I read somewhere that it cost a little over one million to make Saw I

Oh I love this series too! It's not just a simple-typical-grotesque horror movie for me. Unfortunately I've not seen the third one yet. And as I can't rent it, I'm waiting for it to be on TV here patiently. Glad to know that the 3rd one is worth watching and there'll be Saw4 soon. I remember I was so disappointed when I watched a sequel to my another favourite movie CUBE. So that's a good indication. Me can't wait either!!

Some good news ... Saw 2 is going to premiere on the Showtime cable channel on February 10th - so looks as though I'll get to catch up on that one sooner than I thought I might!

I watched Saw 2 over the weekend - it was good! I still think the original is my favorite thus far, but I liked how we got to see a lot of Jigsaw. That is, he's interacting with the police, etc. and not simply being heard via tape recorded voice. I think Tobin Bell is SO perfect for the character; it's a pleasure to watch him assume the role so brilliantly.
