Starting at 5PM on Sunday, September 17th, the last official day of the WB will be celebrated by the airing of 4 pilots of the networks most successful shows.
At 5PM, the pilot episode of "Felicity" airs:
At 6PM, the spinoff of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer": "Angel" airs its pilot, wittingly titled "City of":
At 7PM, a cult-classic and my personal favorite, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"'s pilot 'Welcome to the Hellmouth':
And finally at 8PM, the ever popular "Dawson's Creek":
I greatly urge all of you to catch as many of these pilots as you can, especially "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". The show is so well done that it is rediculous. ;D
At 5PM, the pilot episode of "Felicity" airs:
We meet Felicity Porter, a young girl that just finished high school, and who finally works up the nerve to ask Ben Covington, her longtime crush, to sign her yearbook. She makes an impulsive decidion to attend college in New York City, to follow Ben, and she leaves her parents crushed, after abandoning her long-established plans to study medicine at Stanford. In NY, Felicity moves into the dorm and meets new friends, a standoffish girl Meghan, her resident advisor Noel, and aspiring guitar player Julie, as she's trying to find out more about Ben and get closer to him.
At 6PM, the spinoff of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer": "Angel" airs its pilot, wittingly titled "City of":
Angel, a vampire with a soul, arrives in Los Angeles. Having left Sunnydale and his true love Buffy (the Vampire Slayer) behind, Angel is searching for a place to call his own and a means to redeem himself for past sins as a brutal, malicious, bloodthirsty killer. Doyle, a half human, half demon, is sent to him by “The Powers That Be” to help him on his path. The Irish half-breed advises Angel to live among the people of the city so as to avoid losing his own humanity. Doyle also reveals that he has had a vision of a young girl in trouble, prompting Angel to go on his first mission to help the helpless.
The girl’s name is Tina, and Angel learns that she is being stalked by a powerful vampire. As the investigation goes deeper, Angel learns that this creature preys on many aspiring actresses, and his latest target is an old friend from Sunnydale who has just arrived in the City of Angels.
At 7PM, a cult-classic and my personal favorite, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"'s pilot 'Welcome to the Hellmouth':
Buffy Summers is the Slayer, but after being expelled from her old High School for burning down the gym (it was full of vampires) she just wants to forget about her destiny and be a normal sixteen year old girl. She and her mother move from L.A. to Sunnydale, California. A new school, new friends, and a chance to start over.
But Sunnydale is on top of a Hellmouth - a center of mystical convergence that draws evil and demonic forces - and Buffy soon realizes that she will have to pick up her stakes and holy water in order to save her new friends.
And finally at 8PM, the ever popular "Dawson's Creek":
Film-buff Dawson finds his best friend, Joey, growing jealous of his attraction to a neighbor's granddaughter. Meanwhile, pal Pacey falls in love with a mystery woman, who is really a teacher at Capeside.
I greatly urge all of you to catch as many of these pilots as you can, especially "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". The show is so well done that it is rediculous. ;D
