Good evening everyone, Hello, this is the Byrdman coming at you on Saturday night. I hope that everyone is rocking and rolling through their weekends just as I am! Anyway, I saw one of my favorite series today that I had on tape today. It is called "Mystery Science Theatre 3000", and it is so HILARIOUS! ;D Oh, I could not stop laughing. The premise of the show is that a guy and two robots are stuck in space on a satellite. An evil professor's mom forces the three to watch terrible movies every week, and Mike and Crow and Tom Servo (a robot with a bubble gum machine for a head, he's my favorite robot! have to suffer through them. You can just see the three's silhouettes in the theatre as the movie plays above them. The three of them just sit there and make cracks throughout the movie. It's so funny! Has anyone seen this show? I know it was on Comedy Central for years (from 1989-1996, I think), then the Sci-Fi Channel picked it up for 3 years from 1997 to 1999. I'm just curious if anyone else has seen it or not. Thanks for your attention, take care, and have a wonderful and rocking night and weekend, boys and girls!

I remember that show. Caught many episodes when I was in high school and kind of forgotten about it. I recall a movie was made.

Good evening R2K,
Good evening to you! Hey, thanks for getting back on this, I was hopeful that someone had seen it!
So, did you enjoy MST? And yes, a movie was made about the show as well. Have you seen that as well? Just curious.
Thanks again for getting back, R2K. Take care, and have a great night, bud!

MST was pretty cool though it's been a long time since I saw it. Do they still air it anywhere?

Hey R2K,
Unfortunately, not to my knowledge. I think I remember that there was a big conflict when Sci-Fi picked it up. Because they wanted to air Comedy Central's shows as well on their network. However, Comedy Central would not sell, and it just ended in nobody getting anything.
It went off the air on Sci-Fi in 1999. Si-Fi spent months rerunning episodes afterwards, but they stopped and there are no plans to bring them back.
Now all those shows are just sitting in the vault gathering dust. I'm so thankful I have the entire Sci-Fi collection myself. Sorry for the down news, R2K. They have been coming out with dvds of the Comedy Central and Sci-Fi Channel years, though!
