Resurrecting this thread from the dead, 'cause I actually went to the cinema today, for the first time in like two years ('cause, yea, I'm really not a movie person, heh).
Anyway, saw The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas, and can only describe it as a visceral experience... the kind that will stay with you for weeks. Make of that what you will.

I heard Mark Kermode's review on Radio 5 Live the other day (via podcast, well worth a listen, especially when he really hates a film) and it sounded like heavy going. Not my sort of thing.

Yesterday night I saw The X Files: I Want to Believe. It wasnt bad anyway. But,I expected of this film a bit more, because I saw few episodes of serial. In serial, there is always something mystery, creepy and strange. But in film? .I didnt discern anything of those 3 things.Only two things that was strange and mystery, was that medium(Father Joseph Crissman) and the end, when Scully operated that little sick boy(Im really totally confused about it,how that operation ends )and thats all. This movie reminds me one of the most horrors, not X-files.I sense it like this, that movie was oriented for Mulder and Scully relation, which isnt bad,but I missed that mystery . Uf,that was so hard to put it here all in English.Im exhausting ;D.

I saw The House Bunny, like three weeks ago. Just thought I'd point that out.

I saw Death Race a couple weeks ago. It was a pretty good movie, they did a lot with just one car race! I would go see it again, though it isn't the best movie I've ever seen. Very gory.
I'm hoping to go see Eagle Eye next week! It looks so good!

I did end up seeing Eagle Eye, and it was as wonderful as I was hoping it would be! The acting was fantastic, and the storyline was fabulous. I also saw an advanced screening of Miracle at St. Anna, and I was just in awe. I am really into WWII movies, and this one in particular was extraordinarily touching.
I'm hoping to go see these soon: Twilight, Milk, The Day The Earth Stood Still, and Valkylrie. Can't wait!

I saw Twilight yesterday. It was a lot better than I expected it to be, but I much prefer the book (which isn't saying too much, b/c I don't like the book that much). I won't say too much more though, b/c I don't want to give a lot away. Let's just say, in my opinion, without the main character the movie would've been amazing.

The last movie I saw was also Twilight. I could rant and rail about how horrible it was for a long time. It was a terrible movie, so I hope New Moon is able to recover.

I doubt New Moon'll be any good, seeing as the book is awful. In my opnion, anyway, I just felt it was pointless and a waste of time when I could've been reading something so much better. Anyway, I went to see Australia yesterday, and can honestly say it's one of the best films I've seen in a while.

I saw Valkyrie with my friend on Monday, and it was a big "meh" for me. Any particular reason? Don't think it was a good movie, but at least not as bad as I'd expected. Some good work by the supporting cast. Tom Cruise was simply not the right choice for this character and Brian Singer obviously loves comic strips too much, it somehow felt like watching an X-Men movie. The story of Stauffenberg and July 20. offers so much more than what they made of it here. Only thing I really liked was the choir piece at the end, "They'll remember you", one of the best I've heard by John Ottman so far.

I saw Transporter 3. It was good in a way and bad in a way. Good that Jason Statham got his shirt off several times. Damn, I love that man. Bad that I couldn't stand the woman in it, her character just wasn't developed, and the storyline wasn't the best. But the shirtless moments redeemed it all.

and the storyline wasn't the best. haha is the storylines for action-movies ever good?? ;D We just watch it to see our hot guys strip off their clothes or kick some @ss!! I think without a doubt, the first "Transporter" movie was the best out of that franchise. --------------------------------------------------- I saw "Slumdog Millionaire" when it first came out, which was probably a month or 3 weeks ago? It's definitely is the best love story movie ever and I loved the extra ending to the film. Near the credits, they do the "Bollywood Dance Number". I thought it was so cute....especially with the young ones dancing in the end of the film.

I saw "Doubt" yesterday and really enjoyed it. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly suprised. As with most of her films, Meryl Streep stole the show for me, but every part was played excellently, especially Phillip Seymour Hoffman's Father Flynn. Definitely worth watching. Now onto the next film on my stupidly long list of films to see.

Now onto the next film on my stupidly long list of films to see. That next film has to be "Slumdog Millionaire" ;D *wink wink* Yeah, I'm know i'm totally doing some publicity for this movie . I've recommended it to all my friends since that was truly how GREAT of a movie in a very long time that I've seen.
