Anyone seen the movie yet? Read the books?
I've read the first and second book, and I'm almost halfway through the third. I saw the movie last weekend, and liked it. Reading the book definitely ruined the movie a little bit. They changed Lena's storyline so much, and I really missed Effie. I also wasn't fond of the way they wrapped up everything between Bridgette and Eric. (highlight text if you want to read spoiler):

In the book, Bridgette is very devistated about what happened between her and Eric. The second book really goes into how much of an effect it had on her. I didn't like the way the movie had Eric come to her house and make everything okay because the whole point was that she wasn't okay.

Anyway, I thought that the casting was perfect. Blake Lively was the PERFECT Bridgette. She had the whole hair thing down perfectly. Amber Tamblyn and Jenna Boyd were so great together as Tibby and Bailey. They just played off of each other so well. They had me cracking up at times. America Ferrera was spot on as Carmen, and Alexis Bledel had the whole Lena-shy thing down well. (highlight text for spoiler):

I was balling when Bailey died. I didn't cry in the book, but something about seeing the characters go through it made it so sad. Great acting by Jenna Boyd and Amber Tamblyn.

Overall, it wasn't as good as the book (movies rarely are), but I really enjoyed it.
