Chapters II and III
In the bullpen, it became very clear that Scotty didn’t believe that Alegria was his mother. When Lilly looked at the picture she felt a certain need to solve this case. Grabbing her coat with magenta lining, the she and Kat headed back over to the crime scene. The car ride over there was quiet, Lilly kept on looking at the picture of Alegria wondering why she looked so sad; but didn’t know this whole case would shed light on a lot of dark myseries that lay ahead.
Scotty however was another story, he knew there had to be a mistake. As he sat there awaited a DNA test from his brother Mike, nothing was making any logical sense to him. On the other hand, Lilly had found a big piece of evidence dropped off by Alegria’s friend Jennifer. They were here diaries covering the years from 1973 up until her death.
Sitting there Lilly began dig herself deeper into this case; by starting with victim and finding out how the two murders connect to one another.In one entry, something was starting to make sense.

Lilly then wondered about the doctor, but didn’t understand why Alegria was killed just two years after Scotty’s birth.She knew she had to talk to him, but then again he was extremly subborn and arrogant at times. This case however made him shun away not letting himself see the whole picture.
Stillman then stood over her’ Located the doctor,has a rap sheet for making up wrong dianosis on patients, lost his lisence the year that Alergia died’.
‘ That doesn’t explain why Scotty was taken from her at birth’
He agreed’ Well here’s your chance Lil’
Getting up Lilly took in a deep breath before entering the room, she noticed that the name went by just his first name.
‘ No last name’ she asked
‘ It’s James, what am I here for’
Lilly sat down’ Remember a woman, died in 1976 Alegria Diaz a former patient of yours’
James crossed his arms as he remained quiet, before Lilly threw down a file.Still he refused to talk but when a picture of Alegria was placed in front of him, his hands started to tremble.

Febrary 1974
Alegria is lying there in her bed looking sad as James enters the room.
‘ What did I have’ she asks
‘ A boy, he will be put up for adoption soon’
Tears stream down her face’ You can’t keep me from seeing my son, he’s mine. I spent nine months with him inside me, now all he needs is my love’
James takes her pulse’ Kid doesn’t need a failure like you, but I’ve see you already named him’
Lilly grows angerier by the moment’ Why was the reason for that’
‘ Alegria was just plain crazy, but nothing compares to what I saw after the baby’s birth’
Alegria is standing by the nursery window watching her son crying out. Tears are streaming down her face as James comes out of an office.
‘ He needs my love, that’s why he’s crying’
‘ You’re going back to the ward tommorrow, and then all of this would be like it never happened’

Getting up Lilly walked out as Stillman motioned for her to come into his office.
‘ What’s up’
‘ Turns out that a few months before Alegria had gotten pregnant, she was commited for depression but returned a few months later’
Lilly looked at her records’ This doesn’t explain how Scotty’s father is involved’
Just a week later, Lilly arrived at Scotty’s apartment as he let her in.
‘ Just got results back, you and Mike are half siblings meaning you only share the same father’
Scotty was shocked as he sat down, but Lilly took his hand’ Your mother wanted to love you badly, but this doctor wouldn’t let her hold you. Instead she watched you through the glass’.
Lilly knew this was starting to eat away at Scotty’ I need you on this, don’t you want to find out’
‘ Leave Lil now’he yelled. She quickly left hearing him start to throw things around his apartment.
Chapter III
The next day Lilly had another coversation with James, wanting to know more about Alegeria. Walked down to the cells, she knew it was more of a reason for Scotty to find out his truth. After seeing how he was last night, Lilly felt a good sense of finding out what had happened thirty one years ago. A guard then opened the door as she stepped in staring down at him.
‘ Why did you take Alegria’s baby away, when she had wanted was to love him’
James looked at her’ I had a business and reputation to protect, this would have ruined it’
Lilly grew angerier’ You also torn apart a family as well’
‘ Yeah like Alegria would be a good mother’
After this, Lilly needed a drink but more news began to flood in. Vera then handed her something’ Turns out this James was doing many illegal things at this mental hospital. But surprisingly no one every died there. According to records, Alegria was the only woman who had given birth there’.
‘ How did this get overlooked’
‘ When the state officals showed up, the place ran normally’ Jefferies answered’ The day that Scotty was born two other woman had babies there and were allowed to keep them. But here’s the screwy part, Scotty didn’t go home with his dad until he was a year old’
Lilly looked up before a woman entered the room’ Alegria’s friend Jenifer’.
Sitting down Jenifer took out a picture’ She was so happy becoming pregnant’
‘ What went wrong’
‘ The doctor that’s what, he hated Alegria. That’s why her baby boy landed up with his father’
Lilly nodded’ Did he hurt her’
Jenifer remained silent’ after she had given birth, Alegria was put in complete isolation. She was so depressed that she would throw extreme fits’
Getting up, the older woman turned to her’ I never saw her again, always wondered if she had somehow runned away’
‘ She’s dead 1976’ Lilly replied.
Jenifer sighed’ There’s a nurse Maureen that worked there, she was there 24-7’
‘ How so’
Placing another diary down’ If I tell you more the’ll kill me’.
Downtown, Lilly headed over to Scotty’s place he was calm and collected as the two headed down to Kensignton. This had brought back a lot of bad memories for her; since she had grown up there.
Maureen was not at all shocked to see them but let them in anyways.
‘ We’re here about the 1976 death of Alegria Diaz’
‘ That girl didn’t belong there’
Scotty glanced over at Lilly’ How so’
‘ Alegria wasn’t depressed in fact,she was more happy then sad due to her pregnancy’
‘ You two were close’
Maureen sipped her tea’ No, James made sure of that. But after her baby was born the poor dear spent time crying. It was like her motherhood had been stolen from her’
Lilly let out a breath’ So Alegria wasn’t planning to give her baby up’
‘ No, in fact she made a blanket for her child’
Maureen then a cabinet and pulled out a bag with a blanket inside’ After her son was born, Alegria couldn’t stand to see it’.
Getting up the two went outside, Scotty was beginning to feel crushed. Lilly took his hand and leaned closer to kiss him on his cheek’ You don’t have to work this job, I will’
Silently agreeing Scotty walked over to the car and got in, he knew somehow he always had felt like an outsider.Although his father was biologically his; he still felt resented knowing it had led up starting from the day that he was born. A few hours then passed before Scotty lay down in bed, unsure of what to do next.
