A promo for CSI:NY tells me that its theme song will be "Baba O'Riley" / "Teenage Wasteland" (not exactly the same, a Who fanatic says). This keeps the Who streak alive, after "Who Are You" for CSI and "Won't Get Fooled Again" for CSI: Miami. It also means Bruckheimer (or an associate) is picking a better song each time out.
Makes me wonder, how did CC not wind up with "Pictures of Lil[l]y"?

I noticed that too Blankregus. I read somewhere that CSI:NY is definitely using "Baba O'Riley," and it got me thinking about CC and Without A Trace. I wonder why they don't use The Who or even other classic rock artists. Maybe it's more of a Carol Mendelsohn/Anthony Zuiker (CSI creators) thing. Personally, I really like the way the CSIs use The Who. Although, I think that Cold Case's main theme is very haunting and appropriate.

It's sort of the same as the Law & Order shows. If Dick Wolf came out with another show that had nothing to do with Law & Order, he probably wouldn't use the L&O theme. Same with CSI. Since WAT and CC aren't part of the CSI show (CSI, Miami & NY) they wouldn't have the WHO songs. I'm not sure about NY but I heard somewhere that the theme song will be another WHO song. I dunno, we'll just have to wait and see.
