Yup, they had a preview on the Early Show Tuesday I think it was. I've watched every one so far. They start out the game in Santa Monica.
I thought last season's challenges were kinda grueling.

Definitely Naj! They were so grueling. I wonder if they upped the ante or if they scaled it back a bit. Everytime I watch the show, I want to go on it so badly, but then I remember that I don't like heights and I wouldn't be able to sky dive. Although, they say it helps you conquer your fears. Hmmm...

Hi TV,
I read this season is a little different. No really competitive male teams. So we'll see how that works. TAR won an emmy last year so I hope they know what they are doing....

I hope they don't mess with it too much. I really like it the way it is.

Hi Rush,
I love the AR because of the pace of the show and you really have to pay attention to keep track of where each team is in their clue. They won an emmy last year for the show beating out Survivor!

Tonight's the night for Amazing Race fans.
There's a new gimmick this season in that a team can use a "Yield" once. And they will be putting them all thru alot of climate changes and challenges. Phil Keogan (spelling) said on "The Early Show" that normally the teams race 50,000 miles total which is the equator twice. This year they are going to race 75,000 miles which is the equator three tmes.
If anyone knows where the show theme song is available for download or knows the title song name and composer-I'd be interested to know. I just love that song.

Naj- I think I might have solved the theme song question. According to the IMDB, the music on the show is "original music" composed by Christopher Franke and Lee Sanders. I found a link from the IMDB to a web site called TARflies, and they have the entire theme song on mp3. Here's the link to the song: www.tarflies.com/tar.mp3Hope this helps!

Thank you very much TV! I love that song.
You know I just noticed last night that the show is Jerry Bruckheimer's. Can you believe it?
Anyhow the show got off to a whirlwind start. There are some interesting couples in this group and I love the way they sneakily {is that a word} had those two planes set up with the second being the fastest deal but those that got there first didn't realize it until after they got their tickets. I'm hooked already! I have to give some of the women kudos carrying 100 lbs of meat 1/2 mile! Unbelievable. I also liked how they snuck two clues so close together that two teams missed their clue and had to go back.
This is going to be another good season!

I completely forgot that JB does the Amazing Race Naj! Is there anything this man doesn't do well?
I LOVED the plane trick! It was so great when they found out that the first flight wasn't the fastest! Too funny. I still can't believe the two teams who missed the clue box were able to go back and get it and still remain in the race. They must have been way ahead. That "zips" detour was too cool. I'm afraid of heights, but I would have been all over that stunt. Flying down and landing in the pool would have been too much fun to pass up.
I like all of the teams so far, although that Big Brother girl gets on my nerves a little bit as does the daughter with the military father. The two former beauty queens (Nicole and Christie?) look alike, so it was confusing me a bit. I'm excited though, the show looks like it's going to be great!! ;D

I had never noticed that THE AMAZING RACE is Bruckheimer's. Of the reality show, that's the only one I admire (even tho I don't watch it regularly) because of the intellectual demands and the fact losers are chosen by an objective means--ie, they come in last--as opposed to the luck and personalities of SURVIVOR, etc.

Hi jeyon, I didn't notice either but then I've never watched his crime shows before to make any correlation. I have watched all the 8 Survivor seasons, too. ~Naj
