In the past year or so, I've found myself getting really pulled into the world of 'police drama,' CSI, Cold Case, The Shield among the slices of that world that have grabbed my attention and hooked me.
The one that kick-started it all for me is my un-guilty passion and pleasure, Third Watch---the show that explores all aspects of the emergency services in NY.
I was wondering if I am the lone addict, here or if there are other kindred-Third Watchian-spirits hiding within these walls, so I figured I'd open a topic to find out .
In five years on the air, it feels as though it has been NBC's loyal little 'engine that could' of a television show. With a stellar ensemble cast, equally brilliant characterizations, strong action-packed, emotional and well-told stories, and John Wells and Ed Bernero behind the helm, I don't think it gets half of the kudos, credit, and promotion that it deserves for the viewing experience that it produces.
It's a wonderful drama that can have you laughing one minute, crying the next, put your heart in your throat or make it beat faster if you're a 'ship' kind of gal/guy. (Officers Bosco and Faith...55-David? *swoon* The characters all have their strengths, weaknesses, very individual personalities, and fascinating partnerships that come out of it all.
It balances the different emergency divisions with their own individual stories, even as it ties them all together in a united and amazing whole with great interaction between them.
It's so good, I think it might be illegal...(and if so, send 55-David to arrest me. )
Any other 'Watchers' out there?
(Bosco and Faith graphic is not my own, but one made by a very talented Third Watchian friend, SaRa
