Here's some songs I like to hear on Cold Case. I'll also give the years if I know them. I Want to Know What Love Is by FOREIGNER (1985) Let It Be by the BEATLES (1970? or late '60s?) Good Times by CHIC (1979) We need an upbeat song sometimes Never My Love by THE ASSOCIATION (1967) Mr. Sandman by THE CHORDETTES (1955) Suspicious Minds by ELVIS PRESLEY (1970) Crash and Burn by SAVAGE GARDEN (2000) Here's Where the Story Ends by THE SUNDAYS (1990) Silent All These Years by TORI AMOS (1992) No Such Thing by a JON MAYER (2002)

Nat king cole :Makin' whoopee or unfogettable or still the very known Mona Lisa. Sidney Bechet :Summertime. I like the blues and the jazz, I have obviously height of the other titles for the old case.

Good choice, coldcasegirl. In fact, I'll say anything from The Fray (especially "How to Save a Life" - even though it was already used to perfection on Scrubs) if they do any more recent cases.

I've thought of a couple more (some of these artists have been previously used ... and seeing as I have not seen all eps from all 3 seasons, sorry if any of these songs have already been used ... ) : 2000-ish: "One of These Days" (Michelle Branch) "Desperately" (Michelle Branch) 90's-ish: "Rose Garden" (Stevie Nicks) "Wonderwall" (Oasis) "Talk Tonight" (Oasis) "Lightning Crashes" (Live) "Glycerine" (Bush) 80's-ish: "Shadows of the Night" (Pat Benatar) "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You" (Stevie Nicks) "Rooms on Fire" (Stevie Nicks)

Yeah anything from The Fray would be awesome for a recent case Michelle Branch is really good too, I like her song "Are you Happy Now" it'd be good for like a fighting scene (words, not like physical fighting).

That's another good one coldcasegirl. I've been hearing that song a lot lately because NBC used it to advertise its summer series "Windfall." Great picks through the decades LillyKat! I love Stevie Nicks (and Fleetwood Mac). In fact, I'm going to add "Edge of Seventeen."
I'd also like to hear Sting's "Fortress."

I have been looking over a lot of the Stevie songs and I think I could list about 20. Her songs, like Springsteen's, are so layered. I think she's a wonderful songwriter. I might have to take back my do-not-like-one-artist-episode feeling if they ever did one with Stevie's music. Count me as another vote for "Edge of Seventeen" ... I'll add a couple of more Stevie songs: "Bella Donna" "Stand Back" "If Anyone Falls" "Talk to Me" Above all, I'd still love to hear Stevie's "Rock a Little (Go Ahead Lily)." On the surface, its name is fitting (as is part of the chorus). But whether it could actually be used for the one and only Lil ... don't know.

As an ending song Ben Harper : Waiting on an angel ; Above all, I'd still love to hear Stevie's "Rock a Little (Go Ahead Lily)." On the surface, its name is fitting (as is part of the chorus). But whether it could actually be used for the one and only Lil ... don't know. Great song, I didn't know, thanks LillyKat for having made me discover it. Sometimes it rages... rock a little Even when it's calm... still rock a little Just like the sea... I rock a little Say it was just like me Still rock a little
Then you knew her... funny little dancer And you watched her all night long You were trying to learn from her teachers One thing that she wanted She would not be tangled up... in it
Hit it, It's about time, lily Oh, I know lily Rock a little Hit the stage... Hit the stage Rock a little
She's home now; She says I've gone far beyond that song She says rock and roll ballerina Where else would she go? He knows his daughter, says Where does she live? He says, Oh, up there somewhere
Then he says, Go ahead, lily Hit it, Hit the stage, dancin'... go on Hit it... Well, I know lily It's about time, lily Hit it
Well, I know lily (bis) It's about time, lily Hit it Hit the stage Hit it
Lots of them And all one of a kind But the most importatn thing was What was on her mind Pale... pink... satin... worn out in a week But you loved you the most And you said...
Go ahead, lily Hit it No explanations and I tell you no You say... Nothing That is how songs are written Stories are told, rumours are started
That is how songs are written Stories are told, rumours are started
Go ahead, lily (ter) Hit it It's about time lily Hit the stage, dancin' I know, lily Hit it Hit the stageI hope that the link is ok (but a few seconds of patience for the loading) HERE

Rooms on Fire is one of my all time Stevie Nicks videos. You can find it on you tube: Rooms on FireEnjoy! That was probably a ground breaking video for it's time or maybe just mesmerizing. Anyway I loved it. I even ran out and bought the cd.

Here's another song that would be perfect for a closing song. Unfortunately, I doubt they'd ever use it.
"Lullaby" music by Akira Yamaoka
Verse:1 You lie silent there before me Your tears may be nothing to me The wind howling out the window The love you never gave I give to you really don't desserve it but now there's nothing you can do So sleep in your only memory How mere my dearest mother
Verse:2 Hears a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye) It was always you that I despised I don't feel enough for you to cry (oh no) Hears a lullaby to close your eyes
(goodbye) x4
Verse:3 So insignifigant, sleeping dorment deep inside of me Are you hiding the way lost, under the sewers Maybe flying high in the clouds Perhaps your happy without me So many seeds have been stolen for you, and who could sprout up so visidly if I had died, I would have never felt sad at all You will not hear me say I'm sorry Where is the light, wonder if it's weeping somewhere
Verse:4 Hear's a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye) It was always you that I despised I don't feel enough for you to cry (oh no) Hear's a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye)
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes (goodbye) Repeat x2
It was always you that I despised I don't feel enough for you to cry (oh no) Here's a lullaby to close your eyes (Goodbye)x3
Verse:2 Repeat x2
