1.) Please use appropriate (PG-13 or T) language. Any severe swearing will be removed and a warning given.
2.) Make sure to post in the correct section of the board. If you are not sure where to make a post, please contact a staff member. Improperly posted threads will be moved or deleted.
2B.) Post all spoilers in the forum spoiler section.
3.) No flaming. Flaming is when you make fun of, tease, gang up on, hurt someones feeling, criticize someone, especially when it is specifically to incite a member into an argument. Private and personal issues should be taken to PM or reported to a staff member.
3A.) Courtesy, politeness and respect: Cold Case members are expected to be respectful, polite and considerate toward other board members. Please see our Netiquette Reminder
When you choose to engage in discussion or debate, please do so with respect for the viewpoints and opinions of others. This includes, but is not limited to:
* derogatory remarks about other members' posts (i.e. referring to posters' comments, arguments and opinions as stupid, lame, bizarre, dishonest, or telling them how they should post);
* bigoted remarks as well as unsubstantiated accusations of bigotry;
* baiting posts intended to provoke a hostile response or start a flame war.
Remember you can always walk away from posts that you feel are offensive. You do not have to respond to those posts.
3B). If you feel a post is inappropriate or in conflict with the rules, please do not reply to the post, or "mini-mod", but contact a staff member. Modding shall be left to the moderators.
4.) No Spaming. There is a "one and done" policy here, meaning one spam post will immediately get a user a warning and be put on probation.
5.) Please consider the personal information you are posting. Remember that once you commit something to the internet, it cannot be taken off, even if you delete it.
6.) When posting, please look to see if there is already another topic similar to yours. Duplicate topics will be locked and members directed to the original thread.
7.) Advertisements are allowed only in your signature or the Off Topic section. If you would like to affiliate with the board, please PM or e-mail trubluCCfan or irishkale. Users who have joined only to advertise their site will be deleted.
8.) Bashing of any of the cast and crew is not permitted and such posts will be locked and deleted.
8A.) Speculation about the cast and crew's personal lives is not permitted and such posts will be locked and deleted. Discussion of announced news events is permitted.
9A.) When posting pictures, the poster should include the URL of the source of these images. If there is more than one image per post, the user should post clickable thumbnails. There is to be no hotlinking of images.
9B.) When posting articles, the poster should review the terms of service of the website they are getting the article from; some sites do not allow articles to be reproduced. To keep within copyright laws, posters should quote a section of the article, and link to the rest. If the poster feels the article may be moved/removed from the original site, they should contact a staff member.
