We also need to realize that everyone has a breaking point. Lilly's grown up with an abusive and alcoholic mother; was attacked at age ten; there are heavy implications that she wasn't a 'sweet innocent' girl when she was a teenager; had her mind 'raped' by a serial killer; shot said killer; had to care for her alcoholic mother; was shot by some guy; became a zombie; met a guy, guy leaves; meets her estranged father; gets into a fight with her father; she's shoved off a bridge into a body of water; nearly drowns/dies; her attacker is released on bail.

I'm rather surprised that she didn't break BEFORE this time.

The drop of water that makes the vase overflow.

Lilly will only stalk him not more i can't imagine her kill him ( Imagine... Lilly and moe in a dark little street in a lost district shooting him ?? :o)

It's entirely possible that she might kill him, but what she MIGHT do is provoke Moe into attacking her, then shoot him, and claim self defense.

Interestingly enough, such an act would place Lilly on the fourth level of 'the scale of evil'. A scale that's said to measure how evil a killer is.

04 - Kill in self-defense, but had been extremely provocative towards the victim.

But, and here's hoping that they don' go here (or the other way either), Lilly could just kill Moe out of anger. This would place her at the eighth level.

08 - Non psychopathic people with smoldering rage who kill when rage is ignited

And that is my problem... I'd rather not see Lily on any scale of evil. She's too good for that.

Unfortunately, all of us have the potential to be on that scale, and believe it or not, Lilly already IS on the scale at level 1.

01 - Those who kill in self defense (Killed George Marks in 'The Woods')

Heh... I could accept level one I guess.... I just don't want the writers to take Lily on a inreedemable path. The show deserves a better ending than that.

I rewatched the car scene between Lilly and Moe in WASP, and something struck out at me. It's when Moe gives Lilly that look, then says, "The more you push me, detective, the less I have to lose."

At first I didn't understand this, but now I think I do. So far Lilly's seen to it that he doesn't have a job, and can't get a loan. We don't know about Moe's family life, but I think the implication is clear.

The more Lilly has taken away from Moe, the less he'll have to lose if he actually kills her. It could get to the point where Moe could kill Lilly, and be fine with it, because everything was taken from him.

So, there's a pretty strong implication that Moe wants to kill Lilly as well.

I have to say that I (almost) loved Lilly in "Read between the Lines," the conversation she had with Eddie that she doesn't want to use the gun and later that Moe is her problem. In first converstation I wasn't surprised when Lil said she needs to think about [the gun], because no matter what it's not an easy decision whether to keep the gun or not. Then later on when she said she threw it in the river I was so happy....Now the 'almost' part....the last scene where Lil hides the gun in the chimney - what the hell? I guess I can understand it from her perspective but I was really hoping she got rid of the gun :(
I know Lil is angry that Moe is on bail, but Lil was a beat cop and she knows that majority of people she arrested were released on bail before the trail, and even after the trail some of them got probation only or walked...and I'm talking battery charges, domestic abuse, rape of adult...she knows (or should know) that system is not perfect. Sometimes [in real life] murder suspects get to go on bail befor the trail so in case of attempted murder it doesn't surprise me and it shouldn't surprise Lilly.

Anyway, going back to "RBTL," Lilly conversation with Eddie was very nicely done and stuff she said were exactly what I would expect her to say...I just didn't expect whe would actually keep the gun. :( Little disapointed there.

Even though she kept the gun... I think by talking to Eddie she is starting to realize that she is walking down a road she doesn't want to go on. As to the rest of your point Madmax, what I've been saying all along. This is the first time it's happened to her and that's precisly why the stuff she's seen before (perps being out on bail) angers her. But in the same breath, her behavior towards Moe has been stalking and until the scene in WASP, he HAD been leaving her alone. Memo to Lily, ditch the gun. Nothing good can come of it.

I agree with you Ninja. It seemed that the moment Lilly saw the gun and Eddie said why he wants her to have it she realized that she is still a detective, a person that is on the right side of the law and she was on that side her whole life. She kept it even thought I didn't want that to happen, but...and that's a huge but...I would have kept a gun too, and I like to think that I'm on the rights side of the law. I would have kept it not with intent to kill Moe but as a back-up lets say. I would have hidden it just like her and it would stay there untill next big remodeling :) So, I understand her actions but still I don't want to see Lilly do that kind of stuff...
Like you said Ninja, Lilly was the one to stalk Moe since the beginning of the season and until WASP he left her alone. But he got pissed too for what she did. On the other hand was he stalking her? I mean by definition he wasn't :) For those who don't believe me look the law definition of it. He just once drove by, met her and talked to her for 2 minutes. Also during that conversation he didn't threaten her with words but just gave her a clear statement of facts. Yes, she might have felt threaten but even police would not take report from her on that since it happened just once.
Going back to what Ninja said, I believe after converstation with Eddie Lilly realized she was on path to self-destruction.
